I’d argue that sacrificing his brother and cleverly tricking Bill into dealing with Stan was Lawful Good. Sacrificing a loved one for ‘the greater good’ mixed with all that lawyer goodness of ‘you didn’t check the fine print’ as I deceived you.

8:26, this reminds me of a time where i did this exact same thing in DnD, basically i was an annoying chaotic good bard, and i kid you not!, my teammates legit disliked me, found me annoying, and weird, because of my character haha, one game they were gonna try and save duke from this evil necromancer skeleton guy, but they didnt wanted me to get involved so trough some persuasion they sent my character to find some magic item in a nearby dungeon that apparently could dispel all types of magic or something, idk it would make an anti magic field or something, me deciding to play along, (cause i thought they would die XD) went to the dungeon with a companion barbarian we had, and yup! just like in the show, when they were totally fucked and about to all die, hehe well well well "how the turntables" i come back with said magic item! and yup.... from that day on my team began being far more tolerable of me and my shenanigans hahaha, they were more than happy to have me save them all, how did i found the item? well the DM felt bad for me since i was basically gonna miss big story moment so he decided to let me just get the item even though that dungeon i went trough was supposed to be already looted, so yea, some fake dice rolls here and there and voila imma tell you my joy (and contained laughter) as i came to them with this item as i vividly screamed "I AM THE MASTER OF DUNGEONS!!!" was awesome, just seeing their faces of disbelief and relief as they saw me come to their rescue was priceless

Great video ! The thing with Ford, most of the nuances to his character are brough by journal 3, which is canon-ish as Alex Hirsh often says. I would argue some of his decisions are soooo unethical, because of how task oriented he can be. That and killing your brother for the greater good, really feels more Lawful then anything else. Also, I believe the Stans are like 57-58.

while they've definitely encountered each other, i honestly kind of doubt that ford and rick would have actually gotten _along_ when they met on the one hand, ford 100% enjoys the company of people who are "on his level", which rick qualifies as more than most characters could, and he's certainly not a completely saintly guy by any means, but rick's more of an outwardly crass and apathetic ass while ford is, while often oblivious and even callous at times to the interpersonal implications and consequences of his actions, ultimately extremely dedicated to the greater good - ford has spent most of his life dead-set on stopping bill and is just as strongly so even as a jaded older gent, and i don't think he'd settle with just getting out of dodge by leaving his dimension and finding another one, even though earth is _tiny_ in the scope of what he must have seen in his lifetime, especially if he knew rick much at all. their characters have a lot in common in terms of being scientists, interdimensional fugitives, and grand-somethings to the young protagonists, but in terms of who they are as people and morals, i feel like they're almost total opposites to the point they'd probably not get along well. remember how ford becomes ashamed and chews out stan the moment he realizes there were children around when he fought him after getting out of the portal ? from that alone, i can't imagine he'd really enjoy hanging around rick with the way he acts around morty. the two have 100% met each other and i bet that their history would make an incredibly fun story in itself, but looking at them as people i kind of get the feeling they wouldn't make as good friends as most of the fanart of them tends to depict

I think it's definitely important to note exactly why Ford was mad at Stan for saving him. Turning on the portal, and even Ford's presence, are an immense danger to the town and the world. Ford was mad that Stan would risk all of that just to save him. Definitely a Chaotic Good moment.

I wonder when Ford was hanging out with Rick and Morty, did Evil Maybel team up with Evil Morty. Of, Couse these two characters would back stab one other. Which is probably the reason why Evil Maybel was stuck in the void of Maybels.

Pretty good video, though I will say that while all of his big actions are 'good,' his smaller character moments really help show how somebody who's more dedicated to a greater good can still cause some major issues. For instance, what ends up finally setting off the fight is Ford correcting Stan's grammar RIGHT AFTER they finally got him to join yhe circle. A petty thing for Stan to pick a fight for, but at the same time, that is NOT the time for being a Geammar Nazi.

That would be an interesting thing to hear your speculation. I've not seen the series but I do love hearing the solid analysis of this series.
