What difference will a standalone ecu and exhaust make on this m44??

so this time I have decided to twist things a bit and add standalone and a good exhaust before adding intake manifold. these are the results. for those that havent seen previous video, this Class II been M44 swapped and Had BDS Stage 3 tune.
next we should add our intake or test our v2 Cams

Really interesting to hear how the mods are changing the power and torque curve. Hopefully more of these cars can keep their 4 pot engines now instead of them all being swapped, people are finally starting to appreciate the M42/44 thanks to BDS. Did you fit a BDS exhaust manifold or just downpipe and catback?

I would love to see a lhd manifold vs rhd manifold comparison. The M50 exhaust manifolds on my rhd car look bad compared to the lhd offering and I would love to see what difference it makes on an M44 to give me an idea of how it also affects the M50

An m50 would have a different result as manifolds arent that different. On m44 they are very different

Maybe a silly question but, why doesnt the power and torque lines cross at 5252 rpm. I thought they all did this due to the calculation of torque?

That will depend on the scale they are presented on. They might not even cross at all

Hey Bruno. I noticed on the data it said “stage 3” does this mean both cams and headwork have been done?

No. Stage 3 its only cams and tune. No internal work gets done at all. Its all very clear. If it had head we would have mensioned

I figured so but remembered you talking about stage 1-2-3-4 heads for m44 in an earlier video. Im really impressed with the results! Especially from the z3! Keep up the good work!

Head used to have stages as well and people used to get confused hence why we changed head names to v1/2/3/4 not stage. Stages are a complete power kit

You say OEM intake manifold,but is it completely stock,or it’s moded in some way?

Its ported and disa delete with secondary plenum modification
