He could have bought the fake amiibo cards for cheap, or he could have used a switch controller emulator app on his phone and downloaded the amiibo files, you wouldn't need the actual amiibo for these methods, and the 2nd one is free.

The functionality of Mario Amiibos is pretty awesome, I’m happy with that. Especially all the Bowser Amiibos spawning Mega Fury Bowser. But the functionality of the rest of the Amiibos that aren’t Mario related to Mario are kind of underwhelming.

In the og mario 3d world the invincible tanooki suit made green stars collected not count but you can replay the level and collect those

It does work on that stage, just fyi. It doesn't let you use on final box challenge though don't know why. Even with it on crown - crown there's a challenge jump timing and time limit

The map replenishes each graffiti lucky block, random lucky block, and each lucky bell. So you only need all 100 cat shines.

What about King K Rool's and Poochi's amiibos? Donkey Kong's and Diddy Kong's (as well as the Wario and Yoshi ones) are considered as Mario amiibos by the game, but is the same valid for KKR and Poochi?
