Our neighbor's cat comes to our house every day. In the morning he meows for us to open the door. And comes and chills infront of my room. If finds my room open then in my room. He doesn't even eat anything no matter what we give him. He just chills out. Until my father comes home at night and kicks him out. He still sometimes sneaks in from the window. Every day I take him back to his house before my father returns but he still comes back. It's really concerning about what he eats and when. Cus he doesn't really go back home either.

The best part of pulling an all nighter is getting to see what kind of a freak your cat turns into at night. If I leave the lights on all night my kitty is pretty normal, but if its dark she takes on weird personalities really late at night. She doesn't act like herself, her meow and purr are completely different, she has a different expression on her face, etc... There have been times where she'll slither into my lap and curl up in it in a way where she feels completely unlike herself, it feels like a wild animal randomly decided to make camp in my lap. I think parts of their primal nature are stirred in the dark.

So, that’s what he does - he checks every corner of the territory available for him. Even the place where he put the most attention is the entrance - too many smells there going from the outside, so it’s worth to leave as much as possible of his own smell to reassure the territory is claimed.
