Australian and I have visited a Kneipe / Bar which was next door to a market. So I saw many a worker having a bier. Some did get drunk, others would be there and have maybe 2 biers over a few hours, just talking and or playing those electronic game machines on the wall. Obviously as a tourist yes I enjoyed some beer and talking at times to locals, Orkus observing what was going on.

I personally think that Germans like to chat very much. Neighbors will stand on the roadside and chat, friends will stand by the car and chat, and some will chat in the gym.

Nobody eats 3 times bread a day in Germany. A warm meal traditionally for lunch or for dinner is normal.

2:25 This was an extremely accurate scene. The only bottle openers in the country are for foreigners. If you can't open the beer with whatever you have around you, you don't deserve to have beer. @@dweuromaxx I'm an American who spends a fair amount of time in Europe, and I'm skeptical of those statistics. Getting drunk eleven times a year is really a lot, even for younger people. I'd call that borderline alcoholism.
