Hi! I’m glad you found it useful ☺️ NB is likely a maker’s mark so have a search for silver makers in your country and you might be able to find a match. Nicky butler is the only one that springs directly to mind but it could be any jeweller with those initials. Google lens is also useful for finding similar pieces. Hope you find it!

hi! thank you for this. I have a beautiful necklace that has two marks - 925 and 70.18 ... what could the 70.18 mean?

Hmm… is it definitely 7018? Could it be 2018 or a maker ZO and the year 18? Could possibly be a design number. I haven’t seen that mark before I’m afraid but I hope you find it! There’s a brooch if you Google ‘70.18 silver mark,’ maybe that can help your research? Good luck! 💕💍

Have a soiled bangle wrap around, mark 925 D mark. Any idea what D stands for heard it meant duty?

Hi! It could be duty, or it could be a maker's mark or brand mark possibly. Is it old?

Hello! I have a usual necklace sliver, and I believe it to be 925 it has a face and Initials in a love heart JW. Oh, above the numbers 925 is the letter G. Can you help and tell me who made it , and what year it is, etc. Thanking you in advance.

Hi Lorna! Is it a lion’s face? If so, that’s the London assay office and if the g is lower case and has quite a round top part, it’s likely 2006 - if you search ‘London hallmark date letter g’ you should find a website with a list of all the g marks to check. Similarly, you can search ‘JW heart silver mark’ and you should find a website with a list of makers with those initials. I did have a look and couldn’t find one, but keep searching! 💕

I have an antique purse with a perhaps silver clutch on the left hand side there is an O, on the right it is an N, in the middle ,it is not too clear. its like the bottom of an animal. I have a picture if you have an email I can send it to you. Thank you.

Maybe they aren’t marked? It’s possible to have silver and gold unmarked, especially if they’re artisan/commission or if they’ve been resized and the hallmarks got lost!
