I think he has made a compilation of anti-putin replies. I have been following YT live streams of some bloggers where they talk with people by random choice - unfortunately the overwhelming majority (I would even say 90%) of russians in these streams have been expressing there support to this imperialistic war and their leader. It is rather discouraging :(

It's still possible to geolocate the videos based on the background and calculate the time of day from measuring shadows. That's usually enough for the security services to correlate with other forms of surveillance like video cameras and smartphones. Pitch-shifted audio is also relatively easy to reverse for vocal fingerprinting.

Hmm, even if Ukraine will win (idk how it's even possible), do you think they'll set "democratic, peaceful government"? No, they'll just put puppets into the government, they'll just get resources and after the stock will be depleted - divide Russia and leave it in deep poverty. Those people who are from "Free Russia" want to divide Russia into small peaces, so these warlords can't do anything in future. If you wish victory to Ukraine, you hate not only government, but Russia itself. If you really wish good for Russia, you need to pray for Russia to win and after that try to do something with government, in other way this country won't exist.

Merely showing the background allows geolocation and pinpointing the time of day from measuring shadows. Pitch-shifted audio is also relatively easy to reverse for vocal fingerprinting. Even the inaudible 50/60hz background hum recorded by any microphone near an electrical supply can be used to forensically identify where and when an audio recording was made. It's actually very difficult to make an anonymous video recording when your opponent is the state security services, and not all of the techniques they can use are public.

It's so sad that it has come to this. There was a time when people could speak freely about anything. It's only 20 years ago. To see that people in Russia nowadays are so unsecure that they're only able to speak freely when they're blurred out and covered with colours, it makes one feel how fragile democracy is, and how quickly the wrong leader can remove it. I pray for it to one day be restored, so that I once more can go visiting this truly interesting neighbouring country of mine. It's so sad that the people in Kremlin has destroyed so much during the last 20 years. Thank's for a great KZfaq channel, btw. Greetings from Sweden.

You're thinking like a westerner, Tony, and I don't blame you. But, Russian post-soviet "democracy" of the 90's and early 2k's was an anomaly. Otherwise throughout their history including pre-soviet, whatever freedoms Russian citizens enjoy are those bestowed onto them by the state, hence can be revoked. Somebody once made a statement that stuck with me: A westerner understands the difference between being trapped in their house due to a blizzard, as opposed being trapped in it because you're under house arrest. A Russian sees little difference because both are beyond his control.

@@pondacres Well, every people have it's own journey to form their way towards democracy. Sweden and most of Europe was once ruled by as totalitarian rulers as Russia. At our lowest point, we Swedes started war with Russia back in the 1780's, just for the sake of making the king, Gustavus III, more popular amongst the people. A totally useless waste of lives, it was. So we've been there, we've done that. But we moved on. Of course Russia can do too. The modern Swedish democracy isn't old. It was born step by step, with the movement to give women right to vote as equal to men as the biggest step. That was just 101 years ago. Other important steps were taken much later; as in 1975, when the King lost the privilege to select the prime minister, and in 1989, when all grown people were given the right to vote, no matter if they were disabled or not. Perhaps it's step by step that's needs to be done even in Russia? Perhaps that would be a more solid way to build up the democracy than the way it was done back in the 1990's? I don't know, and really, it's not up to me. It's up to the Russian people to find their way. But they should never give up or give in. There should always be hope for a better future.

@Александр Иванов Answer to your first question about Gorbachev. @Александр Иванов When Ukraine became a free, independent country Gorbachev not even in office, so he could not have agreed on anything as he was out of office. Gorbachev was not a leader elected by the Ukrainian or Russian people. He was chosen in a one-party system by the party (less than 1% of the people) The process when countries become independent is normally through the people's vote. Norway decided to leave Sweden in 1905, Slovakia and Czech Republic agreed to split up in 1992. Ukraine held general free and fair referendums 1991 and in all oblasts all over Ukraine, not a single oblast wanted to stay in Soviet Union. In most oblasts more than 90% voted for independence. Only 7.74% wanted to stay in the Soviet Union. Even on Crimea 56% wanted to leave Soviet Union. 1991 Ukrainian independence referendum - Wikipedia Second Question - who founded cities In Ukraine - @Александр Иванов Most cities in Ukraine were founded by the Greeks, Italian, Ukrainians, Cumnas (Kharkiv) Poles, Magyars (Kyiv). Russia came late to Ukraine and thus founded some cities when it attacked and conquered southern Ukraine from the Tartars during the aggressive expansion of the Russian Empire in the 18th century. The claim of Russia "owning" on Ukraine is not very strong as Russia came very late to Ukraine. Crimea has a very short history as Russian. The tartars where evicted or exterminated to make space for the incoming Russians between 1861 and 1948. About your other statements - @Александр Иванов You are stating that Ukraine somehow has a responsibility or link to the 27 million killed in second world war. When did the second world war start? FACT: It started in August 1939. When and Soviet-Russia allied and agreed to attack their neighbors. Germany then betrayed Russia in June 1941, so Russia's got to see how it was to be attacked themselves after attacking everybody else first, Russia started by killing Poles, Lithuanians, Romanian, Latvians, Estonians, and Finns. Russia was no victim; it started the war. FACT: Russia started the war together with Germany. Stalin allied with the devil and was betrayed. By the way 9 million of the killed in Soviet Union were Ukrainians, more than any other part of Soviet Union. My question to you - why are Russians starting so many wars? Why are Russians killing so many other peoples and stealing their land? Russia is destroying Ukraine, but whatever happened Russia is destroying itself in the same process. Nobody tried to destroy any Russian culture or anything similar. Do you expect that anyone will love Russia after this (except North Korea), Russia will be an outcast for a generation, just like the Germans where after second world war. Putin is the grave digger of Russia; he has decided to send Russia to hell.

The last person made me think of an analogy of siblings whose father beats them and they don’t think they’re strong enough to fight back, so all they can do is continue to take the beatings and support each other when Dad isn’t around. That’s a sad way to think about things. I’m not a Russian, so I’m in no position to say what they should do, but if the fear is that protests won’t work because people will get arrested, I think they need to think of larger scale protests. Imagine a “Million Man March” to Red Square. The cops can’t lock up hundreds of thousands of protestors and that message would be impossible for the rest of Russia to look away from and would be a black eye toward Putin’s administration when looked at by the international community. But I fully understand how difficult it would be to organize anything like this.
