American Gods is so awesome, it has great female and lgbtq characters, a lot of poc characters and also an amazing story. Really, I was expecting so much for this show and it didn't let me down, so I highly recommend to you guys (and it only has 8 episodes, you can binge-watch and finish in one day).

the existence of female, lgbtq, and poc characters in a series is simply a reflection of reality. their absence is a political agenda, and one we're tired of listening to.

Have you actually read the fucking book? The same level of diversity was there too. And guess what? That diversity reflects reality. Not the weird little mass Caucasian delusion that European Americans seem to have. Like Friends being a show about people living in New York and there is not one non Caucasian in the whole show. In any of the seasons. Whoever made that show probably wasn't a real New Yorker or had a White Wash Anglo fantasy.
