in the philippines we call it "batuhang bola" in english means "dodge ball" where the opponent needs to hit all the players in any part of the body but not the head

Honestly, for the US, this looks more like monkey in the middle. We also have dodgeball, but at least where I live, I've never seen it played with people in the middle.

Indeed this is Le Monkè in le midlé popularized in american schools it has its roots in bullying and slowly morphed and adapted into a more legal activity. Teaches capitalism a bit and about the haves and the have-nots

There's a variation in the US called prison ball/jail ball. Players who get hit go to "jail" behind the enemy team.
