I'll keep a look out, and I didn't mean to criticize. I only inquired as the branch I work for designates at least four current anti-torque configurations including those you mentioned as well as co-axial rotor set-ups and your video is a great intro to the first three. Sikorsky has some nice media about their X-2 and upcoming S-97 which covers some of the configuration or at least provides beautiful examples of the application: quieter torque control with way more lift for the power.

Not taken as criticism and we welcome it even if it is - we are very open to all feedback. I find co-axial and dual rotor, especially the Kamen inter-meshing absolutely fascinating - please send us any relevant videos.

Wayne, no sorry, not in this video - this video deals with just 'anti-torque' systems. Co-axial and dual rotor systems become very interesting when you look at the way they deal with pedal turns in a hover without a tail rotor! Perhaps we will cover those in future videos. Or if you find a good example, post it here.

What about the standard rotor counter torque system, how do they yaw when its with 2 blades?

I learned gyroscopic precession but then looking at this I can't see why torque is going in that direction. Because if the blades rotate anticlockwise that means the angular momentum is facing upwards. Using the right hand rule for torque makes it confusing because I don't know what forces are acting on the swashplate. Maybe there's no force so that just means torque opposes the rotational forces of the blades?

If you're in the water and want to turn, your arms will push in the opposite direction you want to face.
