If prices increase, but value remains equal or also increases, that’s understandable; however, if value decreases, then I feel like I’m being taken advantage of and will decrease my patronage commensurately

WDW needs more roaming characters like DL. The character interactions make great memories. My mother's favorite memory was having the stormtrooper turn down the speed of her EVC for "speeding." She was trying to argue her case. It was great.

As Disney Adults, age 53 & 54, we have so much fun just going my husband and me. And if we are ever lucky to have grandchildren I will love to bring them here as much as we can. I enjoy Universal, but Disney will always have our heart and soul.

I REALLY miss Magical Express and airport luggage delivery. If I had that still, today for example, I would have dropped off my bags and gone to a park and spent more money vs just waiting at the resort for a paid bus ticket to another company. So disappointing.

Hannah is fantastic! Do whatever it takes to keep her on the show!!! For me, having visited WDW with my family and young children are my best memories. They are now teenagers, but the memories are no less special. You don't need (young) children to validate your appreciation of WDW.

Disney’s Dark Kingdom adult-focussed thrill ride park. It could be kid-friendly enough during the day, but transform into a darker villain-filled park after dark. Backstory: what if the villains won?

Yeah I think a new park should be teen/adult focused and a villains park would be perfect for that. Build maleficents castle from the Sleeping beauty movie and do it big.

great discussion today. i feel like they need to expand what they have in the parks now before a new park. ryno is spot on that the asian and europe parks get all this cool technology. animal kingdom is just so far behind the other parks and even just as a zoo! there are so many opportunities to make AK the premier park out of the four. I also think the three non magickingdom parks can have basic theme park rides that are disney themed to cut down the wait times in those parks. like there should be 3-4 more simple coasters like slinky dog dash in hollywood studios themed after disney properties

I'm just catching up on podcasts at work. I felt compelled to come to youtube to remind you that Boson Common and the Public Gardens are parks. As someone from MA, I understand that sometimes things are such part of the landscape you may forget they are there.

Hannah nailed it with the price comment. The ticket into Disney doesn't include a lot of the more recent imagineering without dropping more than the cost of additional park ticket

To me, not having been a cast member or a college student cast member, it would appear to me short sighted on Disney’s part to cheapen the cast members experience as an employee. Taking away a main gate pass is shitty. I love talking to cast members, on their day off, standing in line. One cast member and I accidentally rode Guardians together on her and my finalizing the 6-song loop. My wife and I ran into her later that day.

I was a cp in 97 and advanced internship in 2000. We never had a main gate pass. I was told they were only for full time cast members. I heard they usually gave out 2 tickets twice a year for part time. I did not receive any of those tickets but did receive a cast member preview ticket for the opening of Animal Kingdom. (Still have it unused.) I think I scored that ticket when I came back down during my spring break to work some shifts.

I don't see how you can complain that late hours at Disney are only for deluxe resort guests when at universal their deluxe level resort guests get free express passes and you think that is a good perk.

The best things about Disney world is how it transports you. My family and I have gone pretty much every year since 2008.We always stay on property, mostly at the wilderness lodge. It’s our favorite hotel.

As much as we get tired of IP, the only thing that can set Disney apart from any other theme park is getting an emotional reaction… that’s why Disney fireworks are worth watching and why you almost cry when you see the millennium falcon and why children loooooove seeing characters. You can get thrills at any of the dozens of theme parks and fairs… you can get virtual reality experiences in your own home or one of the hundreds of virtual reality experiences in most cities. If Disney wants to be the premier vacation place where they CAN charge more, it has to be something emotional. If a movie is emotional and the attraction tells the story, it’s easy to get that emotional reaction. Just my thoughts as someone that so far remains hooked because it’s still an emotional experience for me.

I totally agree the first animated movie with snow white to the newer movies I love them all. Walking on main street usa is my happy place. I will always be Team Disney

Not sure what point was trying to be made about not being immersed going from the site of Epic to Citywalk/IOA/Studios. A shuttle bus is a shuttle bus. Plus the new park will have a hotel inside of it, and then two more new hotels/resorts right nearby. Plus I believe Epic Universe will only be a few miles further from where the two Endless Summer hotels are. So not totally distant from everything else. A few of the Disney parks take a little time to get to from the resorts as well.

Congrats on finally having some Disney content this week! It was sorely lacking last week. Of course, I don't know what I was expecting from a podcast that supposedly is a "weekly roundtable discussion podcast about all things Disney".

What Disney gets right is some nice places to drink and eat in the parks , I love Nomad Lounge , Brown Derby . Many EPCOT restaurants so I like to go to chill, but I prefer Universal for Halloween Horror Nights, Mardi Gras parade is awesome and they have rides that I love .

Hannah nailed it with her first thoughts. Show should have ended there. Walt literally came up with the concept of the parks for the purpose of having a place for all ages to have fun together.

Recently priced a vacation to both Disney and Universal. Same Dates, Criteria, Etc. 5 nights Endless Summer, 4 Park Days- 4 People 5 nights All Star Music, 4 Park Days- 4 People Universal was $1500 cheaper. That is a huge amount of money. We enjoy both Disney and Universal, but you can absolutely tell that Universal is more conscience of value and being attainable to the average family, whereas I think Disney has absolutely priced out and lost a huge chunk of the average family. That price difference does not include genie plus, any lightning lane, etc.

I also think if the new Universal Kids park in Texas is a hit, I could see universal opening a kids park in Orlando to cater to children which they currently don’t.

I think for Adults there needs to be a new country added to EPCOT's World Showcase to give them something new to do, and it should be GREECE. New food, new dark ride, new shopping and experiences. Bring us a new country, Disney, and make it GREECE.

Universal does Express pass WAY better than Lightning Lanes! Everything about them-they add value to deluxe hotels and they are so much simpler to use. Disney is and always will be more magical. Disney does need to keep in mind that the best parts of Disney are absolutely the big things, but the little touches are what set Disney apart from other companies.

Having a park for small kids goes against the original purpose of Disneyland. Walt wanted a fun place for the whole family, so kids AND parents could have fun in the same place. I’m a 37 year old DINK and I’ve never felt like Disney wasn’t for me.

It blows my mind when people say Disney is so expensive compare to Universal ... Universal is 790 for two parks Disney 1450.00 for 4 parks, do the math, yeah Universal cost more per park.. And dont try to sell me an express pass that is only good for after 4pm when most of the year Universal parks closes at 6pm to 7pm. Btw for the person living near the park Universal is useless during the week with a full time job.
