@@nobodybroda3826 Y'know, I've always wondered how the...borderline magical finale happened but that makes a lot of sense. Brother Blood's mental powers are-obviously-based on his mind. And if in his mind Cyborg can't be beat, his powers actually force that into reality. It's like that...I can't remember the anime name, think it's at least related to that one Railgun girl anime, but some villain has a reality warping power that's based off his perception, and he accidentally gets into essentially a feedback loop where he's so piss scared of a guy refusing to back down despite losing an arm, before he can stop himself he thinks 'this guy is a *monster*'...and his power makes that reality.

"Finding A Balance" is an apt way of putting it. Cyborg is part human, Cyborg is part machine, Cyborg is all _person._ Finding a balance between his two sides to be a person is the journey he goes on and proves his "humanity" in every form.

Iron Hand: "You will fail. Your sentimentality will be your undoing. The flesh is weak." Salamander: "I have heard you say that phrase on several occasions since our first encounter. I am not sure that you really understand what it means." Iron Hand: "You may have spoken with the Gorgon but do not think to school me in the teachings of my own primarch!" Salamander: "Perhaps I must if the lesson was not learned properly," Ari'i snapped back. "What you say, the flesh is weak, is only part of the saying. In forgetting the end you have lost the meaning. Vulkan said it in praise of Ferrus Manus, after the One Hundred and Eighty-Fourth Expedition when our Legions jointly liberated the ork-dominated worlds of the Shoxua Cluster. The fighting had been fiercer than anything we had expected. Your primarch said in jest that his arm was tired from killing so many orks, and Vulkan retorted with "the flesh is weak, but deeds endure". It was a celebration of what they had achieved, and a remark that even primarchs can die but what they do will last beyond their lifespan. It was a message of humility, not condemnation. Flesh is weak because it knows it must come to an end, and so we must rise above the concerns of flesh and leave a legacy that others will be proud to inherit. Ferrus Manus understood that. He was a harsh master, an unforgiving ally, but he was also a maker of things - a builder, not a destroyer. Whenever I think of Cyborg and Fixit, and Cyborg vs. Atlas, that little exchange between an Iron Hand Astartes (a Space Marine Chapter/group that believes that which makes us human is weak and must be replaced with steel), and a Salamander Astartes (a separate Space Marine Chapter/group that believes humanity must be cherished and protected) plays back in my mind.

My gripe with the first video is him knowing he had like 13 minutes to get home ,chose to walk home instead of having raven teleport him there AND decided to fight a bad guy instead of again going home .the titans could have handled the bad guy while he got charged up. There's also the fact that his onboard CPU most likely let him know when he got up to change his battery,all that he went through could have definitely been avoided.

But it "seems" people today, don't want kids learning mature subjects on TV. Instead... They want them to watch mindless drama, that teaches you to run from your problems. Instead of confronting them, like you should. Sorry for the rant... Nice character study video for Cyborg. Well done.

The issue is that you have taken reckless from it, rather than an unwillingness to simply resign oneself to the hand they're dealt, to keep growing, pushing, struggling "Having no limits" is not the same as "I have infinite power", which is the recklessness you seem to have drawn from it, one still needs to fulfill that potential, but seeing limits as things to be overcome, as barriers to yet further growth, is a far more positive mindset then resigning oneself to mediocrity over perceived limits

His series arc about moving from resignation about his disability to radical affirmation/acceptance of his disability/robotics to then learn that Vic doesn't need to over-mechanize, that he is perfect and more than enough in his balance of half man/half machine was so good. Are you going to do a video about his season because I love how TT03 ties his journey of acceptance and finding balance to his coming-of-age journey learning about what it means to be a man and becoming a affirmation of positive black masculinity

@@Venxous Same even as a black girl, it meant so much to me too. A black boy being defiant while a white man kept trying to break him and instead of being shamed for his defiance, the black boy was rewarded for it bc his defiance was what gave him victory in the end- just meant everything to me. Also that the only people able to resist Blood’s mind control were the two black kids: Cyborg and Bumblebee. And those black kids were unapologetically defiant and bold and each were rewarded for it in the end.

The robot guy in the first episode mentioned is one that strives for perfection in his eyes at the cost of anything else. “Perfect is the enemy of good enough” unlike cyborg who wishes to hold onto his remaining humanity prophet from the crysis games had a goal he needed to achieve and was willing to sacrifice the entirety of the human being he used to be to achieve that goal. In the opening monologue from the 3rd game he talks about replacing his flesh and blood like a spare part to become more of a combat machine to defeat the aliens. He’s one of the last remaining people to wear the nano suit and has been inside it so long, he’s become permanently bonded to it. Cyborg could continue upgrading himself into a stronger fighter but where does it end? How long down the upgrade path before you realize that human element is holding you back? Typically the human elements of half machine half biological beings have benefits but they aren’t as tangible as the mechanical strengths.

@bestaround3323
@bestaround3323 Ай бұрын
@billrilley8171 Depends on what it is. You can definitely cause more harm than good by pushing too hard. Also it is impossible for a person to give more than 100% as if you can give more, it isn't 100%. Unless you consider 100% to be less, then what you are physically able to do, but then it becomes pretty arbitrary. You do need to push muscles to get stronger, but it needs to be in controlled increments. It is ill advised to push yourself for certain tasks as well, such as arm wrestling. Your ligaments will snap if you put too much strain on them. Humans also have an upper limit that can not be broken. At a certain point, you will see diminishing returns, and pushing any further can only cause harm. Humans can grow, but our potential is limited

Depending on certain illustrations that I knew of. Ones where he's fixed by the father box I assume he has a endless power source. Unless the father box is parasitic in nature which makes it worse for cyborg cause it's plaguing his mind with darkseid and the anti-life equation causing him to go haywire and blue screen on some occasions. Also I'm trying my best not to make a admech reference cause that's overdone. Actually How would Cyborg react to the Admech from 40k? Disgust? Pity? Disturbed? Or just Horrified cause he could've end up like them. Alongside the WAY from soma. Would he react to it positively or negatively cause it's a very confused AI who doesn't understand how to ethically keep a human alive. It also mends both mechanical and organic matter into one essentially creating a healthy creature.

I don’t think cyborg would get along with the tech priests but not bc they’ve forsaken their humanity. In 40k humans and transhumans have clear gaps and some don’t consider themselves human, but not bc they don’t recognize they come from the same population as regular people, but bc they are considered holy demigods in some cases and in the mechanicus they are the priests of the omnisiah. They don’t consider themselves mortal, which is basically a synonym for regular human in 40k. The tech priests do have a decided lack of emotion and they do tend to replace the vast majority of their biological bodies, but even that difference isn’t the thing that would cause the most issues. It’s that the tech priests wouldn’t even give him the chance to react to them before they either try to retake control over what they see as a rogue combat servitor or they mobilize spicy 40k guns bc his tech will almost certainly be all types of tech heresy

@@ianharrison5758 it's a AI that was given a simple directive. Preserve humanity. Made by humanity themselves when a comet came in and killed every living thing on dry land as the last humans on earth where in the deep depths of the ocean where the lucky survivors. When this happened the WAU changed it's directive from preserving humans to just about any anymore. As long it's alive it's safe. But the WAU. Isn't like a hyper intelligent AI it means no ill intent. It just doesn't understand how to keep a person alive ethically. It also fuses both flesh and machine to esnure maximum survival. I recomend watching a video about it to understand the lore better.

@@ianharrison5758 it also does this weird thing where it just copies your entire identity and pastes another you. It doesn't do this to replace but to preserve. It's always copy and paste. Not cut and paste. So if it copied Cyborg it can pump out a fully 'healthy' version of him. The unfortunate part is the Copy still thinks their a human despite being in a robot body they still feel pain so not at all robotic.

Idk about best, great version no doubt but Teen Titans has a better Cyborg than any live action iteration or hell any other iteration there is.

This video is a real breath of fresh air considering the last time I saw a youtube video talking about these episodes the uploader kept framing these episodes as "bad" and "ableist" because cyborg didn't solely define himself by his limitations, somehow completely missing the point behind cyborg's dilemma and struggle to the point it was probably intentionally missed to drum up drama. Cyborgs got some really quality stories surrounding his whole deal he has going on and the nature of being still human while being half super powered robot physically.

Why the hell are calling him a science experiment. His dad was saving his life after Victor had an accident. Yeah it wasn't right or correct but he did it to save Victor. Do not discount the experiment to being only an experiment when it was a father doing what he could to save his child.

In the 2nd episode I think it gives the wrong idea. Unless his subconscious is filtering his mechanical limits, there is no way to get more power. 100% is 100%. But they still could have used the same lesson in what I think is better way by showing cyborg using his human ingenuity to make greater use of his cybernetic enhancements than Atlas. Though I guess they were thinking of the next episode, where he doesn’t know when to quit so…

I think the point here is actually that "100%" is just "advised safety limit" and not the maximum output or weight it can truly handle, he just couldn't drive himself past what he thought were absolutes, since limitless potential isn't meant as a literal here but rather about not being boxed in by perceived limits

Jesus I really don't like your voice, but this shit made me cry, I fucking love when Characters prove how human they are when using Empathy, some say that rage is the most powerful but that changes noithining, real change has to happen when Empathy is the strongest tool, it can really better are self's and are Societies,
