Very knowledgeable video! I was always afraid to go to lean until got a few electronic carb newer saws and they run super lean, now not as afraid now lol

I like to turn them up on a few... lol, because I have a few to spare 😅 it's my hobby I'm always careful not to encourage someone to damage their machines! Especially if they need to make a living using it! Thanks again, Mike, for watching 👀

Great job explaining. I see a lot of guys saying it should sound smooth while in the cut, and 4 stroke burble when not pressing into wood. Is it accurate to say that’s being pretty far on the safe side of the high jet? My 271 from stock never seems to burble, seems to sing pretty fast while free spinning. But I checked with tach it’s around 12.5k rpm. Been running like that for 2 years so I guess it’s ok?!?

Yes, sir, 12,5 is a good safe speed! Especially a good work saw... 271 has a lot of torque, so staying lower rpms is a good thing! I use clones to experiment on and build a few to play with! However, staying at or below specs is always a good thing for long-term use! Sounds to me that your saw is tuned perfectly, sir! Thanks for watching 👀 🙂 🙏

So turning to the right screws them in and leans them out. Left riches them up? I may have to edit this if I'm not correct.

Yes, sir, that is correct... when we screw it in (to the right or clock wise) it cuts part of the fuel off and adds more air, making the fire hotel! 🔥 when we turn it to the left (counter clock wise) it allows more fuel per air mix and makes it rich, and because of stealing air from the mix, it makes it RICH. This seems backward, I know... but, thank about a fire in a fireplace. The more air the hotel the fire! Same concept! So when we break our saws in, we want more fuel and (OIL) to run through the cylinder to lube the moter more while the new rings and cylinder break in! Hope this helps, sir Thanks for watching 👀 🙂 🙏 Sorry for the late reply. iv been out camping with no service 😅

@majorpix channel no worries on the late reply. Keeping the wood stove stocked in Pennsylvania. With our cold front. Thanks for the info on the tuning.
