This is my first time ever commenting on any youtube video regarding IELTS, but I just wanted to say thank you for the writing videos. I wrote an IELTS exam for the first time ever on 30/03/24, scored a 7.5 in writing even though the timer elapsed before I could finish and I barely practiced 😭. The steps you explained: give one main idea, explain it, give general examples are exactly what I did. My task 2 question is similar to "outweigh" but it was coined in a different way. I can't remember clearly the exact words but it was sth like: are there better advantages to this than disadvantage. L - 7.0, R -6.5, W - 7.5, S - 8.0 = 7.5 Overall. God really helped me here. To anyone reading this, please give yourself enough time to practice, Over a month of consistent practice guarantees an 8 - 9 band score. I did only about 1-2 weeks practice, 2 - 4 hours daily, but I'm okay with my results. Again, Thank you for sharing real value Lilie🙏

Within the next years, all vehicles including cars, trucks and buses will be driven by itself and there will be no driver except passengers. This essay will demonstrate how driverless vehicles make people’ life easier but will also this can lead to such problem if people can be fully trusted to autonomous vehicles. In my opinion, in the near future benefits of driverless vehicles will outweigh the disadvantages. To commence, driveless or autonomous vehicles including every vehicle that you can see on road will make our life easier and more comfortable. Besides that, driverless cars will certainly diminish the ratio of traffic accidents compared to non-driverless vehicles. These vehicles can help us to reach the destinition point with ease. For instance, imagine you are in hurry and you do not have any time to check availability of roads from your phone but driverless car will make it for you. On the other hand, relying on to robots in other words, the system which take actions without any human motion or access can lead to some trust issues. Driverless cars are still developing and engineers still do not have clue if we can trust driverless vehicles fully. Moreover, artifical intellegence (AI) is not totally trustable. For example, the traffic accident I have seen before in Australia, the man who decided to sleep in the car, crashed into a tree because of the misconception of car’ vision cameras. To conclude, although we can count many advantages about driverless cars such things as making our life easier or relieve the workload that people take while they are driving, we need to be more careful than usual to any hardware crashes. In my opinion, eventually autonomous cars will replace with its brothers called fossil fuel vehicles with cutting-edge techonology.

if a have a different opinion that driverless vehicles might result in higher rates of accidents if any unpredictable thing happens, and this endangers people's lives; I disagreed with the statement they gave at the beginning of the task, will this result in me getting a lower mark?

Hi Lilie, thanks for the video, very helpful. I was wondering if it is possible to hold a balanced view on this type of question? If so, how should I structure my essay? I came across an "outweigh" question in my last IELTS exam and I choose a balanced view by saying there are both advantages and disadvantages and they weigh the same...it wasn't until I finish the essay that I realize it was kinda stupid to say they weigh the same.....But I just don't know how to put this with a balanced view. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hey Lilie , I am so thankful for your videos. However your videos leave me unsure how good/well written my essay. I do not understand especially the 1 "topic idea" thing the most. Could you please have a look over my essay. I really need help. Thanks in advance: One thinks in retrospect how primitive our use of cars and other transport means has been. Nowadays, vehicles have been dominated by automation, where the car moves. I do strongly believe that automation's benefits, like driverless vehicles, surpass its disadvantages. Starting with its advantages, on one hand; having these vehicles bolster technological advances and one's future lifestyle, where one prospects to live in a modern world as supposed by our foresight. Secondly, saying that they utilize automated technology means they use electrical power instead of gasoline or any other carbon-emitting material, which is humane and friendly to our environment and mother earth. In addition, they are a way to eliminate traffic congestion and accidents. For instance, they employ software and radars that measure the length between 2 vehicles and calculate the jam on these roads to refrain these 2 problems from occurring. On the other hand, they, indeed, have some implications. Take the loss of jobs for drivers as an example, it may seem that they are replacing us. However, they do create newer jobs for them, like learning how to enhance the software or radar systems, which is important for the manufacturers of these vehicles. Another implication might be one's distrust in the vehicle's implemented software or radars, but humans are more prone to failure and accidents than these algorithmic complex machines. To conclude, it is true that driverless vehicles may have some disadvantages, but in my opinion it's negligible compared to the benefits they provide not only to us but also to our world.

hello, I just have attended my ielts , in the writing part I didn't get much time for task 2 ... my bad ... in task 2, my starting and 1st paragraph were much informative and long, but 2nd paragraph was too short😔 just wrote On the other hand...then 1 long complex sentence😢 it was hard to finish but I wrote in line, just paraphrased why i disagree along with one reason. some words had repeated 😞 I am totally disappointed for what I did😞 what band it would carry(just task 2) ?
