This causes me to remember when I was growing up on our farm. We had a small beef herd which focused more on the breeding side than on the meat to market side. All our grain was grown on our land. All the hay was our own. One thing that we brought in was barley from the local brewery (Labatt's). Once they used it for malting it was waste as far as they were concerned. We bought it from them for a song. Dad would bring in two gravel truck loads (40 cu yards) per month. The cows would almost fight to eat this stuff. It had no alcohol but sure smelled like beer.

It's interesting to know how quickly cannabis grows, that it's actually a viable food source for healthy pigs. And ~25%/weight too, that's not bad. To quote Peter Griffin, "WHY ARE WE NOT FUNDING THIS?" And that's ignoring it's medical potential in humans entirely.

That guy is definitely a farmer by day and a dealer by night.

Hemp leaves would've been a more accurate title. The "weed" part is only the buds and the leaves and seeds are used in many products around the world from fabrics to granola. Hemp is very versatile and is also a healthy green to have in your diet.

That’s very interesting my family has a ranch in southern Texas with a lot of pecan trees and the Havelina wild pigs there eat a lot of the Pecans. And I can definitely taste it in the meat I guess I thought the cannabis would have had played more of an distinctive flavor role in the meat.

I was told back in Vietnam in the old days they fed pigs cannabis too. Made the pigs eat more and put on weight faster, however the meat wasn't good. Was told it made the pigs very watery
