I don't know anyone else who can explain technology in a unique and easy to understand way than Kevin

Hi Kevin, thank you for this explanation! You've explained this topic in an unique and pleasant way. It has cleared some doubts and negative views of technology. Now I have a fairly more positive view towards the future of technology, even though I still mantain a sence of skepticism towards the actual benefit that it might have brought to us. We might have chosen the wrong form of development, leading towards a materialistic and egocentric mindset, manipulation and destruction. Has you said, it is a matter of choice. Keep up with the good work!

Ok, i believe the issue with your argument on enthalpy is that it only applies to heat (thats why the law of enthalpy is under the theory of thermodynamics). It does not apply to matter, which is drawn together with a variety of forces, including gravity.

Hi Kevin, I am a really big fan of your books and you. I Have read two your books, The inevitable, and Out of control. Thank you very much for the writing those books. Once in a video, You have said to do a start-up, just using any X + AI = new start-up, do you have any suggestions on" live-broadcasting:, how to you add AI to this market, since contents can not be created automatically, you have to have people to create contents. Thanks you , I really appreciate it.

Hello sir : 1. why do you say that the future is in Asia? Can you explain in detail. 2. Also, do you think web3, metaverse will completely replace web2 website and app?

This is my first encounter with Kevin Kelly. I strongly disagree with the cosmological/metaphysical assumptions and with most of the conclusions drawn here. Nonetheless, I respect his thought for the large-scale ambition and for not falling into the trap of romanticism and/or technophobia, which we have almost everywhere nowadays, one way or another. He seems like a nice guy one could have a beer with. Cheers!

It's obviously wrong from any reasonable philosophical standpoint, as it basically says that (1) there's teleology in evolution (a goal), which is precisely what 100% of all theoretical biologists discarded with the new synthesis (1930) and (2) it assumes that technology evolves as organisms, which is another very basic conceptual error, as organisms are being driven by the selection of variants generated by random mutations, whereas no one creates tech randomly, including several defective pieces just to have it eliminated in some sort of competition (e.g., markets). The author sounds as a child trying to articulate concepts that he doesn't understand. Still, it's very creative and, for that reason, I like it! Much better than someone that knows all these things that I'm formulating, but is incapable of having an original idea.

Ok, but how do you reckon with Yuval Harari's position that individual human lives were actually better before the agricultural revolution? Technology represents the yang/progressive/masculine aspect of humanity but that must have a yin/conservative/feminine counterpart. What essential loss are we ultimately risking if we fully embrace technology's march?

This is the most gnostic thing I have seen in a scientific framework... this is not a compliment, sir.

@@_baileybee_ "Technology wants the same thing that life wants" When I hear Kevin say that technology is "inevitable", a "cosmic force", a "seventh kingdom of life" with "its own agenda", and this agenda is an "acceleration of nature", almost like it is inevitably good, I hear another call for transhumanism, possibly a fashionable version of gnosticism. Transhumanists, as Gnostics do, seem to envision a world in which the limitations of being human are overcome, either because humanity as it currently is, is intrinsically evil, too basic or not technological enough. However, it does not seem clear to me that a natural cosmic good force is what drives technology forward, since many technologies, archaic or modern, as the internet or the atomic bomb, were developed initially for war and also we know that our current internet, for example, is mainly full of porn and scams and just a portion of it is clearly serving good purposes. I may be wrong, but I see the same gnostic belief within the vision of the future of scientists who are transhumanists, or at least, the same danger of becoming antihuman.

The Gnostics were a better religious force than your current catholics and protestants. Remember all the Gnostics were slaughtered, not very godly....
