This is Chad Olech's reaction to watching BAND-MAID / Sense (Official Music Video) for the first time.

Miku has her own signature Zemaitis guitar. Available for sale. It is insane that someone who was clueless about guitars (Thrill video) to learn to play, become solid rhythm player and have a signature instrument of her own. Miku fought against all odds in her life and won.

They recently played an hour set at Lollapalooza and are finally getting great reviews from American media outlets like "Rolling Stone." The "Chicago Sun Times" said they were the best rock band of day two "by far."

I saw B-M last week at the after party. On my way out security blocked us off and Band-Maid walked right out the front door in costume smiling and waving. Took us by surprise. So-off the stage down a side hallway and they were gone. Didn't even go to the dressing room for their purses. It was surreal.

There are a LOT of highly skilled bands in Japan; so many that too many that should be known are doomed to obscurity, as Ningen Isu, for example, was before they released "Heartless Scat".

WoW, he liked a band Joel picked for him!! To answer his question regarding the skills of Japanese musicians, they have better teachers, they work long and hard to acquire their skill. They also start early Kanami, lead guitar and MISA, bass were learning piano at 3 yo. While all of them can likely drink you under the table, especially Miku. They DO NOT perform drunk accept MISA. She has her favorite libation resting on her amps. They average 25 +/- 2 or 3 songs performed at each perfromance!! Oh, they are better live!!!

I used to think Yoshiki was a great drummer. But he lacked the creativity Akane has. I think he only plays piano thesedays. Neither Loudness nor X Japan are my cup of tea but they are amazing technically.
