I work in a very emotionally, cold and toxic environment - narcissistic behaviour - I have stayed 6 months and my journey there is almost done!!! Bottom line is my boss enables poor behaviours so yes I'm trying to avoid them at all costs.. I can't even stand to really be in the same room as them! I am a nice, kind, genuine person and I feel their toxicity which is emotionally unhealthy for me .. their separateness, exclusion, bread crumbing ... NO they don't want to be friends... my colleague told me when I first started "nice people get destroyed"... no thanks I don't want to buy what they're selling.

Pile 2 here! It resonated so much for me! I am at a job where the boss and co workers were so toxic. I found another, better job now and when I sent my resignation, but my boss is refusing to accept it. For a moment today I thought that maybe I should tell him that I have an offer from a better place and maybe I can help him from my new place in order to be helpful. My friends also said that you shouldn't walk in to a new job with burdens from the old one, while I thought that a little kindness wouldn't hurt anyone. But the last part of your reading really clarified it for me❤❤❤

The workplace shouldn't be a Dictatorship if you find otherwise - moving on is in your best interest. I've worked for quite a few Bosses that possessed a God complex - I refuse to play that game.
