Not knocking anyone, but if you can't afford to buy new, you can't afford to maintain it. Always remember that the purchase price could be depreciated, but spare parts are still full price. Yes, you could get a W212 Mercedes or a Prado J120 for the price of a newer CX3, but have you tried buying all 5 new tyres (265/65 R17) on a Prado J120 or replacing a single headlamp unit on a W212? A Prado J120 has a dual fuel tank with a total capacity of 180L and 150L for the J150, if you are the type of person who always fuels with Ksh. 1000, your fuel light will always be on. The guys who would buy a CX3 are the trendy types who are not shopping on a budget. The CX3 is in its current generation (DK) with only a minor face-lift in 2018. These types wont be seem driving a 2006 car, no matter how big. They want the latest and most current ride, phone, clothes, etc. Expats like it. I see lots of them with UN plates.
