Up your game with some obscure charring materials!
Any living or previously living organism on this planet that is rich in carbon, something we call a carbonaceous material, can be reduced to char for fire-steel ignition. Moss, algae, seaweed, flowers, tree bark, sticks, chestnut husks, fungus, leaves... they can all be turned into char and ignited.

OK. Use (Google) KDP. Kindle direct publishing. Go through them direct instead of some other company. You keep more of your money. It will be world wide and Amazon pays you in different currencies but its still money and the bank does not care. Pocket size until you work up to novels. So far mine are about $2.99 or 3.99 for about 100 pages. Some picture but not more than about 10 since 1 pic = 1 page normally. I convert to pdf but you can also upload word files to KDP. If you need help message me.

It's great to show a variety of things which can be charred. However, if you have a ferro rod, you don't need charred material to start a fire. Charred materials are required to start a fire with flint and steel.

But will it ignite with flint and steel? That's really the only need for char cloth.. Ferro rods will light damn near anything. Small enough wood shavings, even wet will catch with a rod and proper technique.
