"Final Fight. That other Doubles F series has been stirring up all the desires of a video game market formerly built on this type of artifice since 1989. Between its altogether outdated charms and its continuing impact on the history of Video Games.. . can we say that Capcom's license has left its mark? I invite you to discover it during a video of approximately thirty-six minutes."

Final Fight (ファイナルファイト, Fainaru Faito?) is a Beat them up type video game developed and published by Capcom on the CP System arcade system in 1989. Considered a reference of the genre, the game met with significant popular success and has been ported to various platforms1,2.
Just like Street Fighter II which would revolutionize the fighting game genre two years later, Final Fight became the new standard for beat 'em up upon its release in 1989, to the detriment of the Double Dragon series.
The game system is based on three buttons: the first for hits, the second for jumping and the third for escaping when an enemy such as Andore (or its variants), Edi. E or Abigail grabs you. By pressing both buttons simultaneously, the character performs a special move that allows him to get rid of a large number of enemies at once, at the cost of a slight loss of energy. The progression through the levels is done from left to right, but also in depth. Each level ends with an inevitable boss. It is also possible to pick up weapons (knife, pipe and katana), but no firearms are available, although some bosses are equipped with them.
The game features a two-player simultaneous multiplayer mode.
