That was super informative mate. Last I used a a moving map like that one was in a mission briefing room. Are you a flight instructor or air crew by any chance?

I really need to get more in to using my GPS better. I find that it's great to see where I am, but I don't use it for enough planning.

Start really simple, basic way points etc and then use it on routes you already know to get used to it.
