as seen in the comments, filipinos don't approve on it but we dont actively oppose them in public as we don't have some sort of collective public shaming mentality ( we mostly respect their views and mind our own business)

I think it is the same all over the world, even in Muslim countries, difference is for obvious reasons they do not dare to go public with it or even acknowledge it themselves.

Proud sila kasi daw may freedom na sila. Sila pa ung sinasabing mga God fearing daw pero hindi kaya itanggi ang sarili pagdating sa kung anong tama.mas sinusunod ang hilig ng katawan at hinahayaang sumunod kuno sa uso. Kaya maraming gumagaya kasi yung tama na halos ngayon ang walang boses at sinasabing mali pa dahil mapanghusga . Mga walang takot sa Diyos. Nasobrahan sa freedom. Dina tinatablan ng takot sa katawan.

Dude he's not real, relax 😂. I recommend you read other Mythologies like Egyptian, Greek, and Indian. You will find cooler gods and goddesses than the god in the bible ❤🙏

Religion aside.. Should lgbtq people be respected as human beings? -Yes, they deserve the basic human rights Should we promote their beliefs? -No, if we support them time will come that rainbow people can compete in woman's sports because they identify as a woman among other things. This is not the US

Ako bilang Kristiyano, hindi ako nadidiscriminate sa mga LGBT, kasi choice nila yon, pero 'di lang ako agree sa ginagawa nila na "same sex marriage", "sex with same gender" etc.

@@volcarona. Hindi mo yata alam kung anong nangyari controversy sa ibang bansa. Kasi yung same sex marriage nila ay isang politika tool at agenda nila magkaroon ng kapangyarihan sa Simbahan at matulad tayo sa America. Iba ang pagpapataw ng LGBT sa ating bansa, hindi katulad sa kanila. In my perspective, ang legal recognition ng same sex marriage ay literal na parehong paraan ng pagsasabi na ang mga Simbagan na nagbibigay sa kanila ng kapangyarihan, sa gayon kung ang anumang mga Simbahan ay suwayin ang legal recognition, pagkatapos ay makakakuha sila ng problema, which is literally "Human law is above God's law" Ang LGBT topic ay kontrobersyal sa mga talakayan sa Bibliya for a very long time across the world. By that logic, *huwag* kailanman magtiwala na ang kasal ng parehong kasarian ay maaaring mag coexist with the Bible views.

Marriage is not just about religion, it's something more. It essentially crystallizes the love of people, makes it official in their eyes. Human are social creatures and to legally proclaim your love for someone with an audience it feels complete, it feels like you belong. First of all religion and the state should always be separated, religion has NO basis in reality. I always wonder why filipinos haven't dropped the white religion after its de-colonization. With that I think it's just logical to allow people to formally and legally have marriages, regardless of their sex, and gender. Hopefully the Philippines would finally have enough brainpower to change the law not based upon outdated religious bigoted sources, but in intellectual and logical views. For example i think marriage should be defined as the unification of 2 or more sentient legal-aged, consenting, life forms. That way in the future whenever humans have developed Artifiical intelligence there wouldn't be any form hiccups when it comes to marriages between an artificial and a biological sentient life form.

Remember, parts of the bible are cultural advice at the time and don’t relate to the words of Jesus Christ who states forgiveness and freedom. Find that in your heart.

I’m actually quite astonished because, given that the Philippines is a very religious and conservative country, I expected answers that were far more resolute. Only the girl wearing the Tommy Hilfiger shirt took a stand, almost everyone else sounded rather neutral.

@@itsfort The bible is comprised with many books written by different people but inspired by God Himself. The Jewish people were the instrumental with the event of human history and for us to learn from, but God had given us a free will to choose from the good and bad. I wish I can explain better than this, but English is not my first language.

This is utter stupidity. These scriptures and the whole entire people have no basis in our reality. What we do know in science is that homosexuality is a natural phenomenon, much like heterosexuality. Killing based upon their sexual preferences is extremely primitive, much like how people burn women in stakes during witch trials. Are we trying to recurse back into the dark ages, or are we trying to finally figure our shit out as a species, and put these mythical views about our reality away.

If the bible calls it sin, then our opinions does not matter. Always give our children the right choices. Treat them for who they really are in Christ and not for what they think they are in this sin-tainted world...

@@ryusoongi7416just because some don't believe that there is a God, doesn't mean there is no God. I can believe that there is no gravity but does that mean there is no gravity? Some people believe that the earth is flat, does it mean it is flat? There is a lot of proof that God exist just by looking at creation coz everything has a design and everything works in tandem (or there is a designed eco system). Believing that everything was a product of evolution is more unrealistic, it's tantamount to believing that a building just came up on its own without people designing and constructing it.
