What flowers to sow in May? My top picks of flower seeds to sow in Spring! Because maybe you’re wondering ‘what should I sow this month?’ This month, I ask a pretty special KZfaq gardener who needs very little introduction, ‪@Lovelygreens‬ to recommend her one seed, that if you sow nothing else, you have to sow this!
And if you're wondering what vegetable seeds you can sow in May, here's my video: • What To Sow in May | G...
For 5% discount off your seed purchases from Seeds Ireland, click here: seedsireland.ie/niallgardens I get asked so often where I get my seeds from, or if I can recommend a source… All of Seeds Ireland’s seeds are certified organic and open pollinated and you're supporting independent Irish business. I’ve found their germination rates to be great and highly recommend them!

Nasturtiums are a favorite of mine!! I shoved a few seeds in an awkward crevice behind a water spout and between a concrete pathway, they sprouted, and are catching up quickly with the ones I planted last month. Been growing and collecting seed for over a decade, and they only thing that changes is the variety and amount... Which grows each year!

Great video, the only thing I thought to add to this is annul herbs, many of which make beautiful ornamental plants. If you like to grow your own cut flowers then herbs can provide wonderful filler, foliage and scent for your arrangements. This year I'm growing Camomile, Feverfew, Florist Dill, Bronze Fennel, Thai Basil and Greek Cress.

Great video, Niall what have you done, i was happy at weekend, had flower seeds all planted, and now you have reminded me of many i forgot, ha ha, will have to go purchase again. I love foxgloves too, childhood memories with them, have them in my front garden. Sadly the lavender from my mums garden died, will try again. Honesty is a flower i adore, its everywhere after i planted it last year, and the seed pods are even more beautiful in the sun. Niall, thankyou, i have saved this video, so much choice.

Try knocking the things off with a stream of water or scrape them with your fingers. They usually show up before the good guys come in to take care of them. 👍👍 If a leaf has way too many, just take off the whole leaf, as long as you have plenty to spare! They bounce back quickly, but take a break in the heat, so that's when pests will really knock them out of the game and there will be no autumn flowers! Cheers! You can also try a tsp of dish soap(lemon scented Joy brand works great) in a qt water sprayer and spray them in the evening, just let it sit and rinse off before the next morning to avoid burning!
