What glasses coatings are worth getting? There are so many different coatings you can get for your glasses lenses now, and each of them costs money. Are they just an upsell, or are they actually worth it? And if you should pay for a coating for your glasses lenses, which coating should you choose? Anti-glare? Anti-reflective? Blue blocking? Anti-smudge? Anti-fog?
Here I will share with you my experience and what I like to choose. Hope it helps.

🤓 A little about my eyesight: 🤓
I have had glasses for astigmatism since I was 7 years old, but I only needed them for specific circumstances, like reading blackboards or night driving (not when I was 7, obviously).
At the age of 22 I landed an office job, and with my lovely new money I bought a smart phone. 6 months later, I had myopia (also known as short sightedness or near sightedness) and had to wear glasses full-time.
My prescription has been going up since then, and I have been freaking out as I sit back and watch my eyesight deteriorate, feeling helpless and scared.
I was up to -3 in my left eye, and -2.5 in my right eye when I discovered Jake Steiner and the EndMyopia method.
I am still only a few months in, but already I am seeing at almost -2.00 in my left eye -1.75 in my right eye. Small changes, but any improvement is amazing when my eyes have only been deteriorating for the last 10 years.
I am loving knowing more about eyesight and how eyes function. It's fascinating, and learning so much feels empowering. I love that I no longer feel helpless about my vision. I have also quit my smartphone so I could get over my screen addiction. I even bought a Nokia to get me out of temptation's way! Since doing this, I have been making progress with my vision, but also have regained so much of my life and time and perspective, so this vision journey is definitely having positive knock-on effects in my life as a whole.

Clearly are an online retailer, based in Australia - especially great for those of us based in Australia or NZ - and is available worldwide.
I use them for all my glasses in my EndMyopia journey, and they have been great.
I joined as an affiliate because I was already talking about them so much anyway. 😂 If you use this link to go to the Clearly website, it will help me out and cost you nothing more, so if you go this way, I thank you.

Thank you for this video. I love the AR and Blue Light Blocking. I find the blue blocking lenses have a warm effect as well, but I like that about them. Plus, far less migraines. I am curious to try the anti-smudge coating thanks to your recommendation.

Asa former optician I am in agreement with you on the value of having an AR coating on your glasses. And as you said this is especially true for anyone that drives at night. In my opinion I believe it's actually dangerous driving at night and wearing glasses without that coating. Oncoming car headlights hitting someone's glasses without that coating can be very blinding. One of the best ways to clean your glasses is warm water and soap. It's also very good with getting off old makeup buildup as well. If your out somewhere and need to clean your glasses you can use a micro clothe to clean them. Just never ever use anything made from paper, such as tissues, [paper towels, toilet paper etc.

“I just want my glasses to be clean. “ Girl I can relate! Can’t say that my glasses get as bad as that though either. I wash them like every other day with dish soap and water and it is usually good. Except when I first reduce lol then I am washing a few times a day for a while. Every single speck bugs me when I start a new correction.

Thank you! I have been going back and forth on this. My last pair is constantly smudged and dirty. I never remember having this issue with prior pairs and summize it has to do with the most modern lense materials. I'm also deciding between finally trying transitions or getting 2 pairs for less. In the past I've gotten 2 pairs. I want to try transitions but don't want a tint interfering with clear vision when not in the sun.

Never bother with blue light filtered coatings. All of our devices likely have colour profile settings or "night" settings where you can turn down blue levels for free. Like if you have a Windows computer, just turn on the "Night Light" setting and it will turn your screens a bit yellow/ orange, but you'll never get headaches again and your eyes will be less sore. Also, turn down the brightness, you likely have that too high as well. My phone and computer only sit at like 50% brightness.

Hi gemily, I've got an issue that's affecting my ciliary. When I play piano, I wear my differentials but can't lean back enough to keep my hands on the keys. I end up leaning forwards and getting into ciliary lockup. Any ideas? I've tried active focusing but my eyes are constantly moving whilst I'm playing so I lose the clarity and end up inching closer anyway.

Hello, can someone link me to any reversing process for corneal astigmatism? I've been searching in the endmyopia website and I can't find anything except that it can't be fixed? Does that mean that I can't reverse my corneal astigmatism? Or are there ways like maybe differentials or exercises? I tried active focusing it didn't work. Please someone help me :((

@@shinyfennecfox1421 If it is actually your cornea, then perhaps it cannot be reversed using the EM method. You could always try weaning off the cyl correction just a 0.25 incriment at a time, and seeing whether your visual cortex can make up for the astigmatism or not, as long as you don't undercorrect so much that you can't do things safely like drive. You could always try just one tiny step and take a very long time with it and see whether your vision gets better - no harm in trying. Worst that can happen is that it won't work. Or maybe there is another solution out there. This is not glasses correction advice, just a thought on a possible approach.

hi it is me again i have 0.5 astigmatism, should i drop it or just reduce 0.25 too?
@GemilyMez
@GemilyMez 2 жыл бұрын
If I were starting again, I would have left my astigmatism in for my normalised until I had equalised, If you want to drop it and are already equalised, then I would recommend either dropping just a quarter, or, if yu want to try dropping the whole 0.5, then add a 0.25 of sph to make up for it. Just some ideas - not correction advice.

@@mikelin6381 Have a look at these posts from Jake - they should give you all the proper EndMyopia advice you need. You probably want to look at dropping it in your differential glasses at this stage... Jake seems to suggest dealing with astigmatism BEFORE equalising, unlike I suggested in my previous comment. XD So, listen to Jake before me - he has way more experience and collected knowledge: endmyopia.org/pro-topic-how-to-reduce-prescription-complexity/ endmyopia.org/pro-topic-addressing-1-diopter-astigmatism-for-close-up/
