The golf ball is the only piece of equipment that all golfers, pros and amateurs, men and women, high handicap and low handicap, all use for every shot without fail.
Making sure you choose the right one for your game is therefore clearly important and given their focus on gaining whatever marginal gains they can, wherever they can, it makes sense for us to take a look at what golf balls the best pro golfers in the world choose to play with.
So in this video we take the best pros on the PGA Tour and look at:
1. The balls the top 100 are using
2. Who is playing soft and hard golf balls, and
3. Whether the pros use the same golf ball as amateurs?!

I used to play in a group that included a couple of tour pros and one was even a major winner. His balls came vacuum sealed from Titleist so that they absorbed no humidity before being used, I have to believe that it makes a difference. That is another option not available to amateurs.

Interesting and would have been great to find out from them what difference they said it made. According to Trackman an extreme extreme change in air humidity from 10% to 90% would add less than 1 yard to a mid-trajectory 6-iron and just over 1 yard to a drive so it wasn't a distance thing. Also a soon as you start playing with a ball beyond the first tee shot and it hits the ground it's going to assume the temp of its surroundings. As you say though they wouldn't have done it for no reason and felt it made a difference. Maybe a mental thing do you think?

Didnt Tiger use Nike golf balls most of his career? The switch to Tour B XS was recent.

His "Nike" balls were always made by Bridgestone

Sorry Eric. Analysis was on the top 100 of the PGA Tour. Looking at an upcoming video though expanding that to other tours. Will post that again when its done 👍

Tiger did not use a Bridgestone ball in all his 15 major wins!!
