I’m Liam Harrison, Bolton born and bred. I’m a lover of Golf, life and laughter.
Started Golf 12 years ago after packing in football when i was 28 due to a back injury.
I started the KZfaq channel as a laugh and a Wim, to make me practice but that went out the window as i started vlogging, loving being on camera but more so the interaction with my #golfmates.
In 14 months i have seen the channel evolve and become the only real golf community on KZfaq which i am extremly proud of.
I would like to thank all the #golfmates that have been with us and supported us and the channel from the start. Also not forgetting our new #golfmates that may have only just come across the channel.

@John Hill it's got to be frustrating for Simon. Comes up with an original idea, which is getting harder to do in the KZfaq golf community, only to then see numerous other KZfaqrs copy it as soon as they saw the views those vids were getting.

Really good video for people trying to get in to golf without wanting to spend a fortune. I remember when I first took up golf and picked up those hippo's from a charity shop, 5 iron to SW for around £20....was an absolute steal and perfect for me starting out.

Managed to get a titleist 913 d2 driver for £62.50. 3-SW Taylormade ICW5s for £26 and a Taylormade TPA XX putter for £13.50. Only the driver lives in my bag still but the irons make for good ball striking practice. Keep up the class videos big man, one of the only thigs keeping me sane 😂

You didn't even give them a second look, but I'd have bought the King Cobra SSI irons, they were my first ever set of irons, so easy to hit! Got them brand new off golf bidder about 15 years ago for £200!!!!!!

Liam - Including delivery - but before any negotiation - £151 on eBay could buy you a Cobra King Speed LD Driver 10.5° (£29), Orlimer TriMetal 19° Hybrid (£20), Ping G15 Iron Set 4-SW (£82) and a Rife Cayman Putter (£20). All in good nick - the Rife is a blade but not everyone wants a mallet! Cheers.

Great video!! I love these videos, where you find great 2nd hand “previously used” clubs at low prices!! One thing you may not have seen (or maybe didn’t know about) was a Tour Edge hybrid. Tour Edge are known for their hybrids (quite a few champion tour players are playing them) but doesn’t matter!! GREAT CHOICES!!!

Liam I bought a box set 2 1/2 years ago Wilson Profile XD with senior shafts Driver, # wood , 5 Hybrid, 6-PW, SW, putter and bag $299. Last year I was shooting around 84 and had the best round of my life a 76. I'm 67 years old and have been playing since 1969 at age 16 so 51 years. Box sets are not bad. This year I replaced my driver with a Mizuno ST190.

Yes Liam good vid ,, My bag Wilson D300 Driver 40 quid ,Taylor made R15 4 hybrid adjustable 35 quid Pinemeadow putter new 30 Wilson Staff D15 irons 6 to Sw 20 quid Charity shop , 60 and 64 degree 10 nicker each ,,So 145 nicker r kid a fiver left for Chicken and Rice .

Liam. Problem with used clubs is the shafts on irons especially could be sufferingg fatigue. My 1sr set of irons were Masters and i broke my 5 iron shaft after about 10 years. Pro refitted new shaft but tild me once they start the rest will follow soon after. So I replaced them with a full set of John Letters made in Scotland. 1,3,5 woods19&21 degree hybrids 5-SW irons and I have added a 52 degree gap wedge. They are now nearly 12 years old so I probably need to think about updating. I have found the following inc delivery. Cobra S3 11.5 loft (more forgiving for newbie) £50. Ram Golf 21 deg hybrid 5-SW irons £80. Used Odyssey 2 ball putter £38 Total £168 but mostly new clubs and you didnt allow for delivery costs. Happy checking this out. Get Ebay Pete on the job.

Great video Liam. Got us all trawling ebay. I've gone full callaway. But choosen 5 wood instead of hybrid. Driver - : big Bertha 460 reg 10 deg £45, x14 irons 3-sw reg £65, 5 wood steelhead + £10 and odyssey metal x9 £29. All of these were buy it now and came in at £149. I think I could play them and still score 👍

That was a fun exercise. I found a Taylormade Burner driver 9.5 degree reg flex for $39.99, Tommy Armour 855s Silver Scott 3-pw reg flex $50 (classics but still great irons), Zebra Putter $12 (I used to have one), Nickent 4DX 3 hybrid $9.99 (I still have one), Vokey SM6 54degree wedge. I think I did pretty well.

A few things Liam, remember the P&P price to add on top. Also when searching put £0 to £30 (or whatever your highest price is) this will show up more clubs. Also when looking on eBay it’s important to check the description for any important information. Like the idea but a few little tweaks and I think it’s a great idea!

late last year i found and bought a used set of Callaway X22 irons 3-PW, AW, Big Bertha 460 driver, Taylormade RBZ 3 wood, all for $120 US. i picked up a Callaway 4 hybrid from a yard sale for less than $5 US. deals are out there. a while ago a co-worker gave me a good decent cart bag. this year i'll be looking for a newer Odyssey putter!

Right: on eBay as of 20th April 2020: Nike VRS Driver £35 King Cobra SS-i 4-PW £65 Odyssey Dual Force #2 Putter £20 Ping G5 4H £25 And £5 for a pint each in the local. All are in brilliant condition...very surprised! Noticed that you can get many a Taylormade Burner hybrid for cheap as the do not seem to age well! And I’m bored of seeing Dunlop/Donnay/Slazenger putters!!! Good game Liam!

Got a Nike driver cobra irons oversize 3-sw Ben sayers hybrid 3 so if you can't hit the 3 iron then they could go to that and a ping piper putter all for £145 great video Liam 👍

Actually, I think you did a superb job finding a great starter set. The only difference is I would put more money on the putter and ditch the hybrid The putter counts for half your score and deserves more attention.

I built a cheap spare set from offer up and the thrift stores with a set of Adams idea irons Wilson putter and Wilson bag for $35 didn't get a driver for it yet but found the irons so cheap that made me want to make another set for friends that are just learning to borrow

I got a lovely set of Nike Slingshot OSS irons 3-pw for £65. My putter's Nike method that was £35, Driver is Ping G15 for £30, Ping G5 3 wood for £10 and my two Ping Tour wedges 52°& 56° for £30. Got all mine off Ebay for £170 inc postage which I bet you didn't include. No hybrids in my bag cause I'm useless with em 😄

I have been doing this very thing over the last couple of months with a view to getting back to the game after a few decades away! So far: Driver - TaylorMade R5 10.5 degree £15 Irons - MIzuno T-Zoid Comp EZ 3-PW £50 Putter - Odyssey White Ice 33" £20 Still looking for a 3W - dont think I will need a hybrid with the 3 Iron? Bag and shoes and off I go. Cheap as chips to see how I get on.

Got my Cobra fly z plus forged irons, gw to 4 iron for £170.00. Good condition, love them. New sand wedge for £70.00, £240.00 total, 3 years old at the time. Bargain.

Liam, still using a set of pings from the late 70s or 80s. Although, you can't adjust loft or lie. Grips are important too. Old grips replaced with new cost $$$ food for thought. What about him golf bag?

My whole set is from Ebay, all Mizuno except my odyssey putter. In total I have spent approximately £250 but I didn't do it in 20 minutes! It took a year, at least, patiently waiting for the right club at the right price. I bet Pete has something to say about your Ebay technique, mind.

Would have personally gotten the ci9 Wilson’s, not too old and Wilson makes quality high handicap/beginner irons for cheap. As for the drivers the titleist 910d2 and taylormade r9 were great drivers. One of those would last him until he decided to get fitted

Over on Golf Depot, you could have got Wilson pro staff HDX Driver, Fairway wood, 6 to sw and putter, brand new £129 which would have left you £21 for a cheapy bag

Okay. Here in the states on eBay. Ping G25 driver: $34 Big Bertha: driver, 3wood and 5 wood: all for $19 Cobra King Cobra oversized irons. 3 through SW. $ 64.99. And finally. Odyssey dual force rossi putter. :$16.65 for a grand total of $134.64.

Liam,that driver shaft in the callaway is x stiff,wouldn't recommend it for a beginner mate.

Did you check that on ebay? The listing only said project x, that's the brand\model not the flex. Being 11.5° it's unusual to find that amount of loft with an x stiff shaft.

Liam, next time go to the box at top right of the ebay page and select Price: lowest to highest, it will make the search a lot easier. Also, take some lessons off ebay Pete or get some new glasses as your search skills need a lot of work.

I'm new to this spoiling a good walk lark by playing golf, why do you say a white driver isn't good for a beginner? I have the TM Aero Burner but surely the colour isn't making me that bad?
