I, would have liked to see you also comment on Brig (R) Mahmood's and Lt Gen (R) Ali Kuli's statements. Allegedly, a known TV anchor and journalist, last evening claimed that according to a BBC report the army vehemently denied that Lt Gen (R) Ali Kuli, Vice Admiral (R) Ahmed Tasnim SJ & Bar, and Air Mashal (R) Masood had ever met Gen Bajwa. If one is to go on the level of integrity, commitment to duty, and professionalism, Brig (R) Mahmood and Lt Gen (R) Ali Kuli Khan stand head over shoulders above other generals and I have no reason to doubt their statements. BTW, Lt Gen Ali Kuli's father Lt Gen Habibullah Khan Khattak, a Balochi officer, (12 Baloch) had a very keen likeness for my father Brig (R) A.B. Shamsi, (2 Baloch), and I was always told by my father what an upright, honest, dedicated, and professional officer Lt Gen (R) Khattak was. When my father was commanding 6 Brigade located in Kohat in 1966, Gen (R) Khattak would often visit my father, as Lt Gen (R) Khattak then owned a cotton mill in Kohat by the name of 'Janana De Malucho'.

Let us put what happened into perspective. We will start off with General Bajwa: 1.) Gen Bajwa has taken an oath to "Protect Pakistan from all threats external and INTERNAL". This also applies to the other two chiefs - Airforce and NAVY. Now Pakistan receives a threat letter about regime change which obviously is not addressed to the incumbent but rather someone else. This letter is presented to, and discussed in the Nation Security Council. One of two outcomes can emerge out of this meeting: 1.) The letter is false. In which case it should have been declared so right then. 2.) The letter is true and was authentic. Since it was not declared as false then option 2.) must be true. If option 2.) is true then Gen Bajwa and the other two Chiefs should have immediately declared a state of emergency due to foreign interference and dissolved the assemblies and declared new elections. This is allowed under the constitution. This was not done. That can then only mean that Gen Bajwa is a traitor. He must be court marshalled and face the death penalty. Any other accomplices must also face the same charges. The Chairman Joint Chiefs of staff Gen Raza, Air Chief Marshall Babar and Admiral Niazi must put pressure on the Army to come clean. The Army is not SUPERIOR nor is it SENIOR to the other two forces. Failure of the other 4 Star officers to NOT put pressure on the Army to dissolve this Fascist Dictatorship, can only mean that you, also are accomplices to the destruction of Pakistan from within. You all have taken the same oath. Remember, our dear Armed Forces: IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TO DECIDE, YOU STILL HAVE MADE A CHOICE.
