What if when Thomas is in Japan, he met Kana? What about an episode of how Rosie was painted red? What about Edward and Henry coming back to Tidmouth shed?

This feels like essentially the perfect BWBA season. It still breaks my heart the original show is dead, it's still hard to believe. But then ending shot of Thomas, Percy, and Stanley there looking into the beyond really hit home and it's so sad knowing it'll likely never return.

Even if the BWBA era was bad, a Season 25 would've been so much better than what we actually received.

Edward leaving tidmouth for wellsworth is honestly not that crazy. Its just that tidmouth has been established as the house for the main characters. If after that, tidmouth is used as a normal shed and we get different engines sleeping there, that'd be cool. But its just so painfully obvious what they were trying to do

It does sound nice that the team actually had plans for an actual season 25 rather than AEG being a so called “continuation”. From what I saw, this could have been the best season of the BWBA era - knowing how the animation studio was totally separate from AEGs production, we could’ve actually seen both the actual season 25 and AEG season one come out around the same time two years ago. While the time travel sequence with cgi Thomas encountering the original model series Thomas does sound like a very good concept, despite being how expensive it would’ve turned out to film - I reckon the crew would’ve found a way to make it possible! It would’ve also been nice to see Ringo Starr reprise his role as Thomas after 35 years…

Because of how extensively it was referenced in the CGI era, "Down the Mine" would have been a very suitable classic episode to repurpose for the Time Travel episode idea. It could easily have been connected as a narrative in a "If I could undo my biggest mistake" mindset for Thomas' imagination. (well, more like his biggest embarrasment). Or could have been Dream, to make it so he at first believes he actually time travelled. But then he realises that mistakes like that and others, (mostly from the first seasons, like that time he crashed on his conductor's house while he was on breakfast, or being stuck in the snow) have molded and matured him, made him who he is now. (Also, I would like to see present him react to how more cheeky he was then, from an outsider's perspective.) And, of course, because it is a Ringo Starr episode, Ringo could have been able to come back!

Such interesting episode ideas. If only S25 actually did happen.....

It's so very sad that they didn't continue the series. If they at least finished creating the series 25 with it stated and in everyone's mind that it's the last, it might be easier to accept.

Imagine when the perspex Thomas model comes into view, he's a really useful engine cue start to play (like the cue in philip to the rescue, when edward reminds thomas of his past self) as one Ringo Starr (voicing perspex thomas) says "Hello, I'm Thomas!"

The Final Farewell to Hiro would've been REALLY sad.

This was a great rundown. As someone who didn't mind the BWBA era that much, it's refreshing to see some appreciation for it. Though to fully complete it, you'd still need the three double length special episodes. Here's some suggestions: Special 1 - Friend Feud - During a long bad day, Thomas and Nia have a major falling out after accidentally crashing into each other, and their friendship begins to get strained, while the others grow increasingly concerned due to never seeing them act that way towards each other and if the situation could escalate further. Special 2 - A Pirate's Payback (1/2) - Several incidents begin to occur around Sodor, all of which link back to Thomas in some way. Though he isn't punished, as everybody knows such a high amount of incidents can't be coincidence. Thomas' investigation eventually leads him to discovering that Sailor John has returned, having teamed up with Diesel 10, to exact his revenge on Thomas. Special 3 - Thomas Vs John (2/2) - Sailor John and Diesel 10 began to cause chaos around Sodor; incapacitating several engines and endangering innocent lives. Several other engines fight back, but are either beaten away, or taken captive. Eventually Thomas confronts Sailor John at Arlesburgh Harbour, where they fought in SLotLT, and finally puts a stop to his plans by causing Diesel 10 to fall into the sea, shorting him out, and as John attempts to flee, Thomas corners him. John is arrested again, Diesel 10 is decommissioned and has his claw removed, and as a sign of his heroism, Thomas is awarded the Key to Sodor, which he keeps in his berth at Tidmouth Sheds.

Personally would have liked to have seen more of the Little Western, Edward's branch line and the Skarloey Railway. Mattel only seemed to have cared about the Steam Team, Diesel and recenter characters during the BWBA seasons.

It will be very good to see season 25, All Engines Go was suck. I like the idea of developing some of the characters, but I think we can add some Edward and Toby episodes. They didn't have any spotlight for a couple seasons.

Very impressive video mate! From some of the stuff that had originally been planned as far back as Ian McCue and Michael White recalled before everything was shafted when AEG came along, I guess they had their own plans of a S25 overall. Though, in my opinion, given how much of a failure BWBA had became even as far as looking back on the Sodor episodes on my latest rewatch from last year, I think having the series come to an end is the best option. Yeah, I'm not 100% a fan of that era as of now given its downfall which only got worse later on with the 2D reboot. I mean, the RWS ended in 2011 and there wasn't any need to continue it. So do the TV Series because it's clear that the writers and especially the executives are obviously running out of ideas on how to develop the characters. I still enjoy a few episodes like Michael White's episodes and Rebecca's episodes (even though I still would've love to see her in the original series had Mattel not jump in and created BWBA in the first place). For your take on the episodes of 'what-if S25', even though there are a few things I disagree, they do seem to remind me of my take on how to fix S19 and 20 on Twitter (you could check it out if you haven't seen it if you have time), and Usual Bloke Luke's idea of how to fix S6 and S7 and debut them to the UK and US properly and no rushed character personas. An Emily and Rebecca episode with them together as the leads is something I would've love to see (aside from The Sigrid Award by 84F Studios).

I love all these speculated episodes that you chose, Thomas Theorist. But, I would also like to see an Edward and Philip episode, an episode where Nia and Rebecca meeting Henry for the very first time, and probably at least three or four Skarloey Railway episodes because it would be a great opportunity to see the narrow gauge engines (and Skarloey) get their episode of their own. Maybe adapt the Skarloey origin story to TV? Nevertheless, I think you put in a lot of effort into making the plots and concepts behind these speculated, but nonexistent episodes work and I can just imagine a better reality right now. Even if this sadly won't be possible any time soon.

I cannot begin to tell you how grateful I am that you made this video, Adam. I’ve been trying to put together a series with Will on what Thomas would’ve looked like had it continued to Series 25 and beyond and, with your permission and obviously credit, you’ve given me the perfect blueprint.

I was think about making episodes called "Animal Park Nia" and then "Stanley in Space" it inspired me to make some really great stories and give me ideas of what to do if I know what to do then I'll do it. I'm also planning on making a few more episodes called "A Shed for Nia" And it's an idea of how to move Henry back in the Steam Team The story is about Nia was wondering if she can live in another shed so she can be close to the Animal park and then give safari rides quicker and then Gordon over hear's Nia moving to another shed and then tell's Henry he can move back in but then there was trouble Nia came back and then Gordon tell's her that he thought she moved to a different shed Henry thinks whatever Gordon said was very rude, it wasn't Gordon's discission to make and it was still Nia's spot but Gordon says that Nia is capital in finding another shed to sleep in and she gave it all up and whatever else he just said I'm not taking it personally I don't want any of those to happen to me because I got worried what's gonna happen and I realise I never did anything like this before i'm not trying to think too far ahead I just got too nervous and I don't anything from what I heard on the show to happen to me otherwise I'd be very upset and I don't like that, anyway back to the story then Henry say's that was very rude and how could he be so harsh to Nia and then he goes off to find Nia and then bring her back to Tidmouth and the other engines were cross with Gordon and James says that he even he thinks that he went to far and thinks whatever Gordon said was rude too just like Henry, meanwhile Nia was chuffing all over the Island looking for a different place to sleep but she gets too tired then she hear's somebody and wonder's who it was "The answer is; Ryan" he told Nia he broke down when he's taking a freight train and needs help from Nia, Nia is happy to help and then Ryan is grateful for that and tell's she needs to get some sleep, meanwhile Henry was looking for Nia and wanted to apologise to her about what Gordon had said bu then he runs into trouble the points were set towards the ramp that lead down towards the sea then Nia comes and is surprise to see Henry in the sea Henry was happy Nia is found but Nia told him don't mind me her and asks what are u doing down there? Henry was looking for her but then he go stuck in the sea and then Nia goes off to get help, Emily arrives with Rocky so Henry can be lifted out of the water, Henry was so grateful that Nia was able to help and then he finally says sorry for what Gordon has said to and then Sir Topham Hatt says sorry to Nia about not having a good nice sleep last night and Nia is ok now and she accepts there apologies and then Sir Topham Hatt tells her she can have a day off, tell's Henry to go the works to be mended and says whoever was responable for this disturbance will have him to answer to an Henry says that it was Gordon who was doing it and Sir Topham Hatt goes off to sort it out at once. Meanwhile Nia was sleeping and then Henry & Philip came in to say hello to Nia and Sir Topham Hatt tells Nia that she can find a new shed to live in close to the Animal park while Henry moves back to Tidmouth sheds and then Philip says that Nia can stay in his spot at Wellsworth with Edward while he sleeps in the freight shed near Tidmouth Nia is delighted and thinks living with Edward at Wellsworth is a good idea. Whiff the garbage engine puffs past with a long line of garbage cars and Edward then finds Gordon being Whiff's back engine (& Here's Why) Gordon had been found out by Sir Topham Hatt and punished and felt miserable and tells Edward that Sir Topham Hatt put him a waste collection duty for what he said to Nia and Gordon tells Nia that he's sorr yfor what he said to her the other night Nia says that's alright and then says that maybe they have a spare shed for him at Whiff's waste dump so he wouldn't have to get up that early and then Gordon say's that he hopes it's only temporary. And that's the end of the episode. Great video! While some things seem a bit too good for a Big World Big Adventures season, like a back to back episode storyline or a Thomas comes home adaptation, I do wish the CGI Series lasted for one more season so we could get to see the original Thomas model cameo in an episode (which would’ve been the coolest scene ever!) Currently according to Mattel Thomas is at Season 26 with the reboot and I doubt we’ll ever get the same level of quality in the show again

Because I think that the biggest problem with this fandom that I love and adore but can't stand this problem is that they keep crying for classic Thomas to come back, for the series to come back with models, for Nia and Rebecca to come out and blablabla. Not you, you stuck to the BWBA formula without being attacked by nostalgia, and when you said about Thomas's flashback you didn't say it, demanding that it be fluent. I have had a lot of thoughts and ideas to keep the Thomas & Friends series continuing in CGI. And I had also seen that 1 video from the Unlucky Tug on how to make the BWBA series better. For me I was thinking of having the engines use lamp headcodes more often when pulling certain types of trains like how they did it in the RWS. Another would be getting to see more episodes of the narrow gauge engines and the miniature engines. I would also like to see more passenger and freight rolling stock from the RWS books and the early model series brought back in the CGI series. And about what you said about Thomas going to visit Japan would be really great because I'm sure all of us know that the whole Thomas & Friends franchise is quite popular in Japan. Lastly I think it would be fitting to use the timeline from the RWS continuity for the CGI series, all the events from the RWS and make them canon in the Thomas & Friends series. And after thinking about it, I think it be great to have Tidmouth sheds from the RWS in CGI simply because that way there would be enough room for Edward and Henry to stay with the rest of the steam team.

Since Mattel won't use the Hit Entertainment intellectual properties right they should sell them along with Pingu in the city to Universal Pictures as soon as possible and I really do mean it for real Thomas Theorist.

For the Percy episode, Toby can appear in it since he's Percy's mentor after all. Besides, I believe Hiro can return to Sodor for visits from time to time so that he'II see Thomas and his friends again as always as well as interacting with Nia and Rebecca.

The main reason all engines go sucks is the unrealistic portrayal of the trains. The thing that made thomas Unique was that it portrayed trains more realistic, unlike other train shows such as chuggington

If Thomas is revived, this might be an interesting start to the revival era, but I would probably tone down the BWBA stuff because I would wanna make up for BWBA and do the show justice. There is the chance of BWBA mostly being retconned, probably not entirely retconned like they can still keep some characters like Nia, Rebecca and Sonny, but for the most part things would go back to basics similar to how Brenner improved the show.

I’d go a little farther with this and give the Narrow Gauge engines a little spotlight. Duke was alluded to being cannon in a previous season. So maybe those could be the final 4-5 episodes.

There would be episodes like one where Thomas officially goes to Japan and meets up with Hiro, Kenji, and Kana, a purple electric bullet engine, one where Theo visits Sodor and meets Trevor and Fergus, one where Duke goes to Ulfstead Castle and meets Millie, Stephen, Glynn and the son of His Grace, one where Thomas goes to France and meets up with Etienne and an old tender engine named Montparnasse (after the station he crashed into many years ago), one where James overcomes his hatred of diesels, one where Thomas goes to Germany and meets up with Frieda and Marklin, one where Gordon finally retires from pulling the express, one where Thomas visits Stepney and his friends (Bluebell, Primrose, Adams, Cromford, Captain Baxter, Birch Grove, and Fenchurch) at the Bluebell Railway, one where Fergus works with Bradford the brakevan while Samson is being repaired, one where Thomas visits America and meets up with Hank in Pennsylvania, Beau in Arizona, and Natalie and Vinnie (who changed for the better after a strict reprimand from his controller) in California, and one where Duck tells a story about Gordon going to London.

Awesome video! I would love to see a video series of what if Thomas and Friends didn't get rebooted and I like your idea of Series 25. If I was the showrunner for Series 25, I would make sure this would be the last series of Big World Big Adventures. For Series 26 I would have it completely set on Sodor. For series 26 I would bring back characters we haven't seen in a long time like Boco, Derek, Stephney, Duke, Bertram and many more including one and done characters from the Hit era. I would also have the Culdee Fell Engines in the next series including the Peel Godred Engines. I would also like to do more stories with Edward and Henry because they have been a part of Thomas and Friends and we need them. I would also want to do something interesting with Thomas like what was he doing at Brighton before he came to Sodor and who were his siblings? I would also want to do some origin stories of Thomas. I would like to see what your idea of what series 26 would have looked like.

Some characters I would have loved to have seen return would have been Theo and Lexi visiting Sodor and then we could learn a bit more about them especially Theo considering he was created for the sole intention of being a neuro diverse character in his case being on the autism spectrum
