I am SO grateful Arlo made such a miraculous recovery!! What a warrior!! I salute his indomitable spirit, & hats off to everyone from the medical staff to the department, to you, who did everything that needed to be done to help support his healing. They are so precious, so valuable…..life without K9’s or canines, would be NO LIFE at all.❤️

i have a retired police dog and i love him so much his old master comes to see him every other week and the happiness in his eyes is the best type of joy. k9 dogs have showed us so much gratitude and they deserve so much back ❤️

How did you get him? Cop friend and no one at the precinct had room for a dog? I would love a trained German Shepard.

@@whattheschmidt You would find that if you make the effort to train your own GS; you will respect, love, trust and bond with your GS more. Your GS will respect, love, bond, trust and imprint on you. My "LONESOME" I had when I was 4 yrs. old was trained by my father and a lot of obedience classes they took together. He was so smart and well behaved that I could walk him alone, leash free by verbal commands. A cat or squirrel could cross our path and all I had to do was say "heal" and he would act as if the cat or squirrel never existed. Several times the local PD tried to aquire "Lonesome", but father stood firm that he was a member of our family. For my father's entire life he always had a "Lonesome". Not one of them could hold a candle to the original, but his last one came close. After my father died he lost a little bit of his zest for life and the sparkle in his eyes. He lived another several years he had to be put down due to severe arthritis. But he imprinted on my uncle, my daughter and her son. He seemed to want to raise my grandson. They reminded me of myself and the first "Lonesome".

Still diesnt deserve to be tbr oi wn at criminals barricaded and known to have guns. Of course he was shot, there was no other outcome. These extremely smart and powerful dogs never hesitate to go into a dangerous situation and get hurt. German Shepherd’s are so intelligent at reading human behavior. They are so loyal and will give up their lives in a second to protect their owner or bring down the bad guy. Happy retirement. You served your community well. And this is a dog. Thumbs up! I have a Czech shepherd service dog who looks just like Arlo that saved my life when I had a massive heart attack and I cried and cried praying for his recovery. I am so glad this happened in Oregon. Lately all I hear about Oregon is all the leftist nonsense & un-American attitudes so it's heartening to see all those good people united for a vital member of law enforcement. It's definetly a happy/sad situation. Glad to see Arlo recover and be back home. But geez man this is a real confusing video to watch. Anyone who's lost their pet due to law enforcements unwavering intent to kill our pet. This is kind of infuriating to see that you all are capable of caring for animals, but you choose not to give a damn about ours. At what point is the life of your dog worth more than the life of mine?
