i use to be a housekeeper for a hospital and a house cleaner , and you’re not being picky at all. if you paid for it, and specified details, they should’ve got it done. you have a big house and if they needed more time, they should’ve said that.

Agreed, the only time it'd be wrong is if he didn't request it but expected it. But it's clear he asked for it. Especially when cleaning services are expensive especially when money is tight af for everyone right now.

Yeah, normally I’d agree, but there might have been a problem with the estimate. Estimating gets easier with more experience, of course. But that’s because you’re familiar with how long common jobs take. The messes here are - shall we say -- a bit unusual 😆. So they may have underestimated how long it would take.

Ok, as somebody who does own a cleaning company, for a deep clean, I would at minimum, at least wet wipe every surface in every room, starting from top to bottom in each room. It’s at least a given to get all the dust on any and every surface. $500, at least in our area, would be reasonable, however we usually include shampooing/extracting carpets, (and of course that includes the other usual stuff like bathrooms, glass, kitchen and anything else the client might specifically request like dishes or things of that nature) and usually have at least 2 people for a deep clean. Especially if it’s going to be a deep clean, and then regularly scheduled cleaning after, we would make sure from top to bottom each room is thoroughly cleaned, walls, floors, carpets, glass etc, as then it’s easier to maintain and keep clean, meaning not as much work each time after, and scheduling regular deep cleanings when needed or as often as the client would like. So, just my input!! Probably more than needed, but hey… it’s what I do 🤷🏼‍♀️😁

500 is a lot to deep clean a house, they should’ve done more. especially the stuff on the wall. if a customer ever says “i could’ve done this” then that’s not a good cleaning company

Lol $500 is basically no money at all to deep clean that big house depending on what specifically Brandon wanted/needed done 🤣 I don’t know what happened yet and despite what I said about pricing- I’m absolutely NOT siding with the cleaner on this. If they underbid the job that’s their fault. You don’t get to underperform to make up for your error. You do the job for what you bid it at, or if you didn’t see it before hand, call the client and explain that you didn’t understand what was being asked of you. Anyways, I live in Washington state, 30 minutes south of Seattle and work for a privately owned cleaning company. We charge $300 for a light to medium clean of homes under 1,800sq ft (or up to 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms) and are booked with 5+ of these per day, plus other types of cleans as well. This $300 light duty clean does NOT include any deep cleaning. It includes: • FLOORING IN ALL ROOMS- Vacuum/sweep/mop of carpeted and hard surface floors. This does NOT include grout whitening or specialized grout cleaning, does not include carpet shampooing or stain removal, and does not include baseboard cleaning • KITCHEN: * wipe down open surfaces on countertops. We do not move things off countertops. * wipe out sink (if empty)/wipe down faucet * wipe down open surfaces on top of kitchen/dining table but won’t move things * flooring (with the conditions listed above) * appliances (inside or out) are not included, cabinets are not included, wall or backsplash cleaning not included, no cleaning of decorations, knick knacks or clutter LIVING AREAS/BEDROOMS/HOME OFFICE/PLAY ROOMS, ETC: * flooring (with the conditions listed above) * light surface dusting if possible- but we don’t move stuff around NO- windows, windowsills, baseboards, walls, decorations, walls, electronics, furniture etc BATHROOMS: * sink * countertop if not cluttered * mirror * toilet * flooring (with the conditions listed above) * tub/shower (no shower curtains) So yeah, like I said- $500 is NOTHING for a deep clean. However- communication is key and maybe things were unclear. Deep clean means different things to different companies and different home owners. I hope this was a misunderstanding and not a situation where someone purposefully took advantage of someone they believed to be an “influencer” or someone famous. Bad look. I really hope Brandon finds someone who suits his needs.

Agreed on all the comments. $500 is very reasonable for a deep clean, and if you found dirty areas, it wasn’t done well. It’s not being picky to make a list of things you find undone, address those with them next time, and if they fail to meet your expectations, fire the crap out of them. Or just fire the crap out of them now. :) I used to deep clean homes post-construction, and I can tell you my boss at the time was super particular while training us. I cleaned some areas that I thought were clean, but she had me re-clean them. So no, not picky at all!

i helped with a lot of house cleaning...i was sick one day and this sweet lady took my mop, gave me the payment and said hey...angel, you dont lift another finger your buddys on his way to do the rest (their wasnt a lot left and i had everything clean i also wore a mask an whatnot to not spread stuff) im back to cleaning i went back to that lovely ladies home and made sure it shined like she did

For $500 I used to clean an entire building. From the floors to counters to the mats on the floors, pretty much very single thing. It's a club building so it even had a bar and a game room so it's not like it wasn't used or anything. 500 should have been enough to get the job done especially if they agreed to it beforehand

If they're doing basic cleaning like toilets, kitchen, and vacuuming like they did here. the only human waste they cleaned was puke left over. It would be about $25 an hour. So like any regular job, they should have definitely done a way better job than what you showed in the video. Sometimes people get lazy in a big house because they assume you won't find all the little spots they skipped.

I don’t think you have anything to worry about if going live on the main channel. You did it and I thought it was great! The BTS lives are more how they use to be back in the day and a lot of us missed that and enjoy it. Try not to overthink it. Is dooders love you and support you always. So a little quick search is that it's about $0.11 to $0.22 per square foot for deep cleaning. So for a 2000sq ft home at the high side it's about $440... BUT it can also depend on the amount of cleaners helping, so if it's more than 3-5 people it could possibly be more. I think $500 for a deep clean for 3 people, or should be done very well. Wishing the best for Bridta.

As someone who cleaned professionally in homes & hotels for nearly 5 years at the price you’re paying I would’ve had everything ocd cleaned. Deep clean means wiping down every surface & everything on those surfaces

My BIL and sister paid $1000 for a construction clean, and all they did was mess up the new flooring trying to get paint and drywall dust off, colour was changed in spots. They never removed the window stickers. Didn't dust to remove the draywall dust. They have had cleaners in 3 times and they still haven't done the job the cleaners promised they would do. I use to clean commercial buildings and do some houses. We cleaned the hinges on the doors. I also did removal of asbestos. I think thay cleaning sucked the most as you have to wear protective gear and can't have AC, as you cant have air moving to makes the asbestos airborne. Attics in the summer, OMG. And boss never brough cold water. Just water bottles that have been sitting in the bed of his truck. I started to bring coolers with water and Gatorade. I dont want no hot cancer causing water. $500 isnt a bad price if they do their job correctly. It's best to go over your expectations of what a deep clean means. How many people. How many hours. What is expected to be cleaned. Like door frames wiped, walls, inside hvac grates, etc.

I'm gonna miss Bridta. I would thoroughly clean that house for $500. Top to bottom. It would be an honor and you aren't complaining because dusting and stuff is part of a deep clean. Walls are part of the deep clean. If you laid out the expectations and they weren't met then the cleaning wasn't done properly.

Honestly if I’m expecting a “deep” clean to me that means no dust or trash or clutter anywhere. They saw the house before quoting you and doing it so they knew what to expect. I would be disappointed myself

Your new cleaners are no Bridta, it'll be hard to "find a replacement". That was no deep cleaning with all that dust among other things. I worked for a cleaning co. for 4 years. 🙄
