Her and I are the same age. So when I first saw her in The Adams Family when it came out, I thought she was adorable. She was hysterically funny too, I think she stole the show in both movies. She’s 41 now, like me, and she doesn’t look a day over 30. I look kind of young for my age, but nothing like her. Very talented and underrated in my opinion.

She has hyper-neotonious "Disney" doll eyes and face. I can't help but think that is 90% of the reason people pile praise on her rather than any actual thing she's accomplished. The only two movies I remember her from are Addams Family and Casper. I'm not suggesting she's a bad actress or unaccomplished, just that she's pretty overhyped based on little more than her appearance. There are much better actresses who don't have the "cute face" thing going on.

I'm super sad to hear that her ex was abusive. I nanny for a family that used to live in the same building as her. I'd see her in passing before, during, and after her pregnancy and she was always just a really sweet, down to earth person. She was actually the first person that my (used to be) little work baby ever waved to as an infant. I'm sad that she was going through so much and we passed each other so often & I never had a clue. I've always loved her work and thought she was quite an unconventional beauty that made her stand out in a good way. I'm glad she in a better place personally & professionally now.

Please! I bet a lot of that was blown out of proportion. My ex filed for divorce citing that I was verbally abusive to her when all I ever said to her was that some of the things she did was stupid. I never cursed at her or yelled at her. It's plain to see that Ricci is not your normal girl from the history of her personality. She is probably a hard person to live with.

As a 90s kid, she was my first crush with Addams Family and Casper. Im glad she got the roles she deserved. She really did deserve them. Great actress throughout the years. I'll never forget her giving me my childhood and I wish her the best in the future. What else could be said really? She's been great in everything she's done. Childhood crush aside, she is a great actress and deserves to be treated that way. Great to see her have roles outside of the old typecasting. Great to see her not fall into the same crap other child actors/actresses have too.

Hollywood's crazy anyway. One of the things I like about Christina Ricci is that despite being a bit of an outsider, she comes across as one of the more sane and authentic celebrities. If most actresses accused their spouse of domestic violence, I'd roll my eyes and assume it's another Amber Heard situation. In Christina's case though, I'm 90% certain she's telling the truth. I'm not blind to the possibility that she could be lying but it's out of character because 1) she married a nobody so she clearly wasn't in it for more money or a boost to her career and 2) she's doesn't seem to particularly like being showered with attention because she prefers indie projects which let her just act without needing to deal with the media.

I really don't think there is much of a mystery here she is over 40 now so Hollywood casting directors have 'lost' her number like so many before her. She is not weird-looking or lovely quirky but has been cast as that over her career. She is a good actress but there are thousands of younger women that get cast before her. That's how Hollywood works.

She's stunning! Memorable because she does look different, not a plastic Hollywood mould of Stepford Actresses who all look the same. First and foremost she is an exceptional actress who can deliver in a variety of roles. It's such a shame that true talent is lost in this way be it through typecasting or unrealistic vanity.

Christina is my Wednesday Jenna has done absolutely amazing with the revamping of the character though I was born in 1991 and I watched Christina Ricci throughout childhood I was interested in the show because of Christina Ricci (She's a legend to me and an Icon one of my top favorite actresses) I give Jenna credit for capturing the essence of Wednesday. Great job young lady you're going so many beautiful places.

I absolutely love Christina Ricci ever since Mermaids, she was my favourite growing up in the 90s. So sorry to hear about how bad her personal life got. I feel like she is a strong enough woman to overcome anything though!!! (Side note that clips from Regis was sooo creepy af!!!)

She’s been my favorite actress since I can remember. I was such a huge fan when I was younger that ALL of my friends and family knew it and I’d get Bop and BB magazines so that I could make collages which mainly featured her. One year, I believe I was 10 or 11, I even sent her an invitation to my birthday party. I clearly did not understand that the address I had for her was that of the talent agency that her agent worked for and that she’d never get it and, even if she did, I don’t think a child’s birthday party would have been high on her agenda. But anyway, when the day of my party arrived and we were all in the kitchen ready to cut cake, my dad yelled out, “Who’s in that limo outside? Wow! It’s Christina Ricci!” I of course looked out the window. Spoiler alert: she wasn’t there. My little heart broke but what the heck was I expecting? 😆 And I’m still a huge fan of her and her work today. Whether that be walking the runway for Louis Vuitton or Batsheva, showing her talent on the big and small screen, appearing center stage in a theater production or just taking part in interviews... I love her acting, her personality and her beauty. I will forever be a fan.

She's a unique and talented actress and very underrated - one of the best of her generation. And for those of us who grew up in the 90's she was the epitome of cool, as you said, "unconventional characters with a dark edge to them." I loved her then and love her now. And btw, she's still working - don't write her off.
