In 2010 Gray Maynard was an unbeaten powerhouse on the cusp of UFC gold, before two of the greatest fights of all time sent his career into a terminal decline. We look at how MMA's "bully" quickly became a victim.

When I saw him on TUF I was certain he was a future world champ. I don't think anyone got as close without reaching the top of the mountain as Maynard.

@@dennisalvarado5134 yeah, but gray fought for the undisputed and literally battered th champion so hard in the first round and ended in a draw, which a lot of people thought the decision could have got to maynard

@@ItsNotCagefighting yea I get that, but I guess that part of the problem might be that the content is still pretty niche and there are rarely any fighters that got a loyal fanbase, they lose once and a huge majority of fans don't care about their career anymore, so people won't follow or look them up afterwards but that definitely can't be a explanation for it or atleast not for every video. I've noticed that tags, a detailed description and shorts help but still any ufc related content is a pain to produce and I understand when you don't want to rely on short attention span content to get the attention of a new or other audience, So i definitely feel you. I wish you great success, you guys deserve it. I really can't pinpoint the problem but I really would put some time into investigating other channels who do sorta the same type of content (like "MMA on Point") and what made them blow up, through means of "social blade" or "vid IQ" you can get more detailed information about channels and certain videos, also helped me a little bit with gaining more viewers, excuse me for digressing. I really hope it works out for you guys!

Why bring in that, unnecessary cringe, at the end? Did she really think that she was going to get that crowd hyped?

Him dropping Frankie Edgar all around the octagon in the second fight on NYE was the closest to a 10-7 I’ve ever seen. He should have been champion that night. I’m the biggest Frankie fan too. What a trilogy👏🏾🔥. Thank you to both warriors,

Met him, Dan Hardy and Jon Fitch at the roger area when they came down to Vancouver for the first UFC event held in BC. He was extremely kind too my two buddies and I. Even was kool with us coming back when the line up was super small to ask more questions and take some more pics.

I think about Gray Maynard every now and then, for this reason: he was my favorite fighter to watch get knocked out at the end of his career lol he was James Vick before James Vick.

frankie edgar loss broke him, he was undefeated and soooo close to win the title when he knocked down edgar 4 times in a single round, but edgar's heart was too much and was never going down he was close in the third fight as well, but frankie ended his carrer with that KO
