Considering Japanese artists/musicians are usually very secretive on their (private) life, even when famous there is no doubt Klaha simply came back to a simpler life unrelated to the music industry. At least that's my opinion too

I read a comment on KZfaq that said Klaha is now a salaryman and he has a family. Out of all the rumors, I want this one to be true as it sounds like a peaceful life. It's a loss we can't hear his songs again but at least he live happily.

I like the car mechanic version the most. Just imagine a random fan like 15 years later who needs to change tires, before leaving the tire shop looks at the mechanic who is dirty from oil and dust and recognizes Klaha's face. Klaha is not sure if he's been just found so both of them are just staring at each other for like five seconds before the fan goes away having no idea if it was real or not.

I'm a little obsessed with klaha (he's my favorite MM vocalist), every now and then I research him (and also Lucifer Luscious Violenoue), even though I know I'll never find anything idk it's like an addiction and a bit fun to me lol and in 2020 in the middle of this I managed to find the facebook page of a guy who worked with him at the record company during his solo days and I asked if he had any information about Klaha's whereabouts and he replied saying that he would also like to know... Well, the only thing I know is that in Japan if you simply want to disappear and never be found again it's something very easy and possible to do, you know johatsu stuff and whatever… I just hope he's fine and doing something he loves… but god I would give anything to just hear that he is really doing well and health.

There's a new term to japans Jouhatsu, it's now called Klaha. Ex: My friend was scolded by his parents, he went klaha on them and never found him ever since.

Given that he's walked away more than once, cutting ties, has been publicly ambivalent about his music career, as well as being a very private person, I don't think there's anything too worrisome about his disappearance from public life. It's just a continuation of previous behavior. I also suspect that at least a person or two knows how to contact him, but is respecting his right to privacy by saying that they can't.

When it comes to these fan clubs everyone wants to think they know more than the other fans. As a result, there is a lot of information that's just been generated by someone to give the impression that they've got the "insider scoop". I speak Japanese and live in Japan. I spent quite a bit on the Japanese boards at the time and although I did read this same information about poor health I recall thinking it was baseless speculation. There are cases where they release this as a generic statement but it usually implies that the person in question was overwhelmed and wished to exit the industry for the sake of their mental health. In Japan a persons privacy and information is well protected, so if he just wanted to call it quits, he could. At the time I was studying vocal technique under an opera singer and I remember discussing his very poor vocal technique with her. I wondered at first if he might have developed vocal nodules and taken some time off with the intention of returning. Again this was personal speculation and after 6 months passed I returned to thinking he just wanted out. The thing is, he and Yu~ki were said to be close friends. According to a couple of sources (and I think I read it in Gackt's autobiography too but don't quote me on that, it's been awhile) Yu~ki was a pretty reserved guy who didn't particularly like the fame. I get the feeling Klaha was the same type of person. He wasn't sure the musician life was for him in PoM and he continued that thought into his early work with MM. I think his solo career was a last ditch effort to him to try and find his purpose within music. But I suspect he suffered from a lot of imposter syndrome within the industry and struggled a lot behind closed doors. Again, just my impression based on my own translations. Finally though, I don't think he died. For anyone not living here you probably would be surprised by how easily one could go into hiding and never be discovered. The laws make it very easy. This is why we have industries where you can literally disappear yourself for a modest sum. I suspect that Yu~ki and Mana would be aware if Klaha had died (especially during that time period). But during their reunion they explicitly stated that they tried to reach out to him but to no avail. If he were dead they could omit this information and nobody would have thought twice. To me this suggests that they think he's alive somewhere and just not interested in returning. You will never find any new information about this from an English source. Unless a Japanese fan recognized him and posted about it somewhere, you can bet any new information is garbage or wishful thinking. The guy is probably just living a life quietly and I think most of his fans should just respect that and move on with their life.

cool video! am friends with people who knew him here in Japan and no one knows what happened to him at all. Those who even knew him before MM times when he was a bartender. Due to the laws etc. of Japan people can disappear very easily, and also if someone passes away it can almost be impossible to find out and I have had to deal with a friend passing like that recently too, even knowing the full name and home town it was impossible to find any info on the death etc. The most likely scenario is he just wanted to quit public life and disappeared like many do, or that he passed on with no info being made public due to his or family wishes.

It would be so, so funny if Klaha came out of the shadows and released new music some months after that last forum post. I would laugh so hard and never stop talking about it.

Sadly it seems like we'll never know what truly happend , but if he is still alive I am sure he is aware of us fans worrying about him but maybe he wants to be left alone. He is after all over 50 now so probably he might want some peace now

Wow...I thought I had researched everything there is to know about Klaha. I didn't know the rabbit hole went this deep, and I hadn't even heard of some of the rumors. Lmao,so many versions and no one suggested that he was hiding from the yakuza or that he shaved his head and became a monk.Others say he became a bartender after 2004,lol. I like to think that he became a farmer and grows eggplants at the foot of Mt. Fuji😆 apparently he started a family and lives in a quiet city (since none of the MM participants particularly liked noisy Tokyo) and therefore seeks to maintain privacy. I wonder who he works for, I always wondered what kind of education and job he had if he moved so often and did not particularly use the Internet and hardly worked remotely. That damn mystery man. I heard somewhere that mana said in an interview he knows where klaha is, but he won’t disclose it, but klaha is well. That statement could be false though, but I just hope that if anything bad happens to klaha we atleast get info on it.
