A few years ago I found that she and her then husband were putting out comics with diverse characters, as he is an award winning graphic artist. I dm'd her to commend them, and she actually replied! She stressed how important it was for others to see themselves in all types of media. She's a class act. 💜

Hearing her story really hurts my heart, I never knew she was dealing with these struggles to this extent all these years. She’s an amazing talent and unfortunately she’s one of those actresses that white execs will deem “Black famous”, meaning if every white person doesn’t know her, then she’s seen as only famous in Black circles (which we obviously know isn’t true). She deserved so much better smh Maxine Shaw, Attorney at Law, is one for the history books 💯

When the black race reduces itself to racial stereotypes then it becomes disposable. When you don't criticize the Jay Z's and Kanye West's of the world....the Spike Lees and other famous blacks who now embrace black stereotypes, then you have no-one to blame but yourselves. Black people don't like science fiction? Go talk to some black people born in the 60s. Ask them about Lost In Space, Star Trek, The Six Million Dollar Man. She was probably dealing with your typical racist Hollywood Jew.

I truly appreciate the time that has been taken to honor Miss Alexander. I first saw her playing a role in a tv movie as a young teen from a low income neighborhood. I have always admired her as an actress. Especially because she did represent those of us of a darker hue in a positive light. Thank you Miss Alexander for "STAYING" in the fight. God bless you sista!

I am such a fan of Erika during her Living Single days, she was my favorite character and then when her and kyle budding romance, I was hooked. I was so hoping they would have had a spin off because they were so talented. I forgot what show it was but they did a cameo as parents. I jumped off the sofa and screamed and there was a phone frenzy of call about them both being together on the show. Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and all in the days to come.

Erika Alexander is still, to date, one of my favorite actresses. She has an aura about herself that is so inviting. I am so angry of how some of these producers treated her with her own ideas. She has lots of talent and promise but those EXECUTIVE PUNKS don't wanna hear the word "No". When they do, they try and ruin you for all you're worth. But she perservered and never gave up. That shows courage and determination. Never will she be erased from my memory banks. Keep up the good work, Erika, and stay strong!

Some White strange writers, executives, producers, directors is always talking smack and acting like they really know black people. Do they think because they might know one or two or maybe know several black people gives them to right to say what black people don't like far as television is concern..Who are they to tell someone that. That's like telling a person you know them better than they know themselves. Hollywood never understood and understand black people. America is the same as Hollywood. Ether one of them doesn't knows us as a people. They never took the time out to know us. Crazy how it is but after four hundred years , you would think by now this country should have already known us . Time after time nothing has change except new technology, new form of racism, they keep finding different ways to keep from moving forward, they keep making up new excuses to kill us, the crazy Karen's keep finding and making up outrageous stuff to call the police on innocent black men, the government continues to lie to the people about the truth of the vaccine and convid 19.. They're finding and creating new rules and law to control the people. I think there's more to the vaccine shot that the Government won't share with the public.

Hollywood loves to exclude positive images of black people on television, movies, magazines, commercials. They love to see us playing those negative stereotype images on television, movies, commercials, magazines. Most of the people who controls, runs Hollywood still have that old stereotype images of people of color invented in their mind. They see black people less as a people. Truth be told they don't think highly of people of color. Yep you built up the brand than they let you go just like that.

@@gigisgucci yeah both networks merged in 2006 after 11 years of them both on the air. The WB & UPN both started off in 1995. UPN was trash from the start. The WB started off with some good shows. Sister, Sister was on ABC and went over to The WB- The WB had a lot of black shows. The Wayans Bro, Parent Hood, Jamie Foxx, Smart Guy. UPN got Moesha in 1996 which helped the network then once UPN got Moesha, it was Malcolm & Eddie, Sparks which got UPN together. WB had bigger ratings UPN and what The WB did got the black shows on and they went away, and became more teen friendly like Buffy, Angel, Dawson Creek, Felicity it had a different vibe. in 2006 The WB & UPN was losing $$$ and merged- The C stood for CBS side which - UPN was under CBS Viacom back then - The W for Warner - The WB side… they merge and both networks took some of their shows from their original network and the only black show was girlfriends from UPN… shows like Eve, and others got the boot..
