I appreciate all of you for understanding. Im more than happy to be passing the channel over to Houston as I know his projects will keep all of you entertained for a long time. To be completly honest i agree with family goes first but i believe if you wanted the channel to work you could do it wirh freinds no mather their experience and have a blast that way and make sure to work normal hours and that way build a solid crew. @@blackscreen7812 That channel is more like VLOG and the most videos are usually just repo / accidents / cops. Its not something that happens week in week out. Remember all the crazy stuff Houston had to do to even get the channel to go. Got arrested in Veyron etc. I bet you the amount of money Royalty invested in that channel is way more than they have made from ad revenue.

I’m 71. I have 3 daughters....and married 41 years. I started a contracting business weeks after marrying. Regrettably, I gave time to building the business at the expense of time with my kids. I can’t go back. My kids say they had a great childhood but I know I could have been a better dad. Your priorities are on point. P.S. I’m still making sawdust full time. No plans to quit. This is something that scares. My son was 2.5 months when I left. Hell be 13 months when I get home. He smiles, babbles, and kicks his feet in excitement when we’re on FT but I don’t know if he’ll recognize once I get back from this deployment.

@@santoscortes9656 i do not see a problem. If he is excited when he sees you on FT, then he knows who you are. We did not have phones or computers when my daughter was growing up, and when I went overseas she was over 6 so there was nothing that she remembers but the good times.

@@simonmillington9970 I think the only problem with RE filming setup is that, they should use more stationary cameras recording like "B is for Build" does, and make longer videos, more than 20 minutes. Also make a video per week at least, and uploading at the same day, as "Rich Rebuilds" do.

Hello, here is a satisfied follower from Finland. I also double-14y girls happy father. I work as a truck driver, and when the girls were about two years old I took time off work for over a year and lived only for them. It was the best year of my life, and the bond that was built between us during that time of year still feels in my heart. It was the best decision of my life, and I haven’t regretted a day. Kids are only momentarily small, if that moment of losing it is not replaced by anything! You must be a good father Alex, you are young so you will have time to come back later, we will come back to follow then! All the best to your family, enjoy and take pleasure in your fatherhood ❤

Agree and steady income like he's being doing on this channel he's not going to find unfortunately. This is where immaturity and age show up. When you really want something, you fight for it. Westen is doing two videos a month and he has 1.2M followers and he's single no kids... but he wants it and he's making it happen at his pace.

Same here. Been looking for the C10 stuff. Super intrested in that build. But family always comes first and the amount of work required to do this is crazy, add to that doing videos of it..... I will miss your channel mostly for the personal touch that you gave it. It wasn't a fancy production like some channels that are turning into reality shows. Although you have to do what makes you happy, there can be a balance between long hours and family time. I raised two boys while working two jobs. I juggled my time between working both jobs, kids sports, camping, boys dirt bike riding/racing, school events and simple family down time. It is definitely easier to do when you are younger, but still can where you down. I have always loved fixing wrecked cars but have not done it since I had kids and your videos of rebuilding got me back into it. My boys are young men now and are excited to see me looking on sites like Copart for Mustang projects. Thanks Alex and good luck with the family and hope to see you on KZfaq again in the future.

Damn man, never heard of you til today and this was the first video I saw, but man the fact that you stepped away from such a profitable and successful career and KZfaq channel really says a lot. Your reasons are totally respectable and admirable and it floored me that I've been having the same issues working for myself in the car industry for so long and I've been having such a hard time getting things done and feeling up to doing any of it. Married, 4 kids, etc etc etc. All I have to say is that you made the right choice. I wish I had followed intuition and gotten out of the field and into what I truly wanted to a long time ago. But here's to new things! Thanks man!

Sorry that this ends now. It was not only about the cars, it was also the way how you explained things and did some repairs. I also loved the legendary time lapses. But I understand your decision as being a father by my self and knowing how much time the post processing takes. Maybe a camera man, who would have been responsible for filming and processing could have changed a lot for you. How's it Alex! Kudos on the family choice. I made similar changes to my hobbies and even switched jobs, moved across the country (from Atlanta to back to Vegas) so that I could spend more time with my kids and family. Wicked awesome that you were able to transition the channel to maintain the epic content. Have a wonderful time with your boy and family!

I totally get it. Other than being uncomfortable in front of a camera, this is the other reason why I'm hesitant to do KZfaq. The filming and the editing adds so much time to making the videos. If you're really not into that stuff, it's going to make life miserable.

For what I'm understanding Royalty Exotics gonna take the lead of the channel, and possibly change the name, and have Alex featuring in some episodes. New name could be "Exotics Rebuilds". Hope the new rebuild episodes are longer than 20 minutes, and have some stationary cameras all over the garage, like "B is for Build" and "Tavarish". It would help having more video content, without taking so much time from the crew to film.

Alex!!!!! Always really enjoyed your videos! I know first hand how time consuming working on your own can be..... my small little channel is just me and my friend Dave building a '52 Chevy.... in our free time (we both have full time day jobs)....... I've been TRYING to stick to posting 1 video every Tuesday....... documenting the entire build process of the truck...... Kudos to you for not sticking with it simply for the sake of uploading videos. I always say family first and when it reaches the point where you're not really feeling it and almost dread it then it's time to do as you did. I applaud your decision to do what you felt was best for you. You are and will be missed but you have to take care of yourself first to be there for your family.
