It was a normal morning as always, getting up, going to the bathroom, checking the truck and the trailer, everything was perfect.
That day I had to unload in 3 places, Barcelona, Valencia, and Alicante.
My working day started from aria la Emporda.
I had 102 km to the first place. My idea was to go earlier to unload 7 pallets of A4 format paper, take a break of 45 minutes, and go to the second place.
That is the way it turned out.
I started going to the second unloading place Paterna Valencia.
Since the first place was before Barcelona, I got caught in traffic, and I lost 19 minutes. It wasn’t much. My stomach started to hurt right after I left Barcelona as I was driving.
It wasn't too painful, but it wasn't something to ignore it either.
An hour later the pain increased a lot.
I stopped at the first possible aria, got off the truck, I did few squats, and the pain just disappear.
I got on the truck and continued driving to Valencia.
The pain came back after a while and it started to hurt even more.
I felt pain already from the lower right side of my belly.
I said to myself, “I'm going home, and then to the hospital right away”
I had about three-hour left to drive to home.
The pain was unbearable after another hour or so of driving.
I stopped, called 112, and in 5 minutes the ambulance was next to me. They took me to the nearest hospital.
Then they put me on painkillers.
In the mean time they did some tests in order to find out where the problem was coming from.
Finally, they decided to do a surgical operation to remove the appendicitis.Yes the pain was coming from appendicitis
Everything went well.
I was at home the next day.
