He’s one of the most unappreciated artists. He changed the rap game and he basically made the game what it is today. We wouldn’t have the Drakes or Flo-Ridas of the world if it wasn’t for him. Rappers barely collabed with R&B singers let alone pop or country stars. One of the first artists to sing and rap on a song. He’s a revolutionary and innovator in this game.

I’m only guessing but ya’ll know that he raised his late sister’s two very young children and they were on his reality show Nellyville. As they got older he probably wanted to be more involved in their lives since teenagers will be teenagers. Just a guess though. ✌️

It's Nelly's choice why he's not making albums. It is obvious money is not an issue. I love what he stands for. He is a natural born Philanthropist. Every year he sends 2 kids to college. I don't hear much about rappers giving young people the opportunity to fulfil their goals and dreams. Thank you, Nelly, He is a legend of his time.

Nelly just had the typical lifespan of a superstar. 5ish years on top, tons of hits, 3 huge albums. Really nothing to be ashamed of. Every pop star falls off eventually. Now he can live off sold out nostalgia tours. But people don't give a shit about the new stuff.

YungDrew Chris Brown/Bhris Breezy never fell off though, the Rhianna situation changed his image into a bit of bad boy, but his career didn't slow down until very recently, and even so, he got a song with Lil Dicky. A couple good hits would get him back right Nelly has been out of the game too long.

First of all, you put up a headline of "What happened to Nelly" . So tell us his current situation, not information about old records he sold. Nobody wants to hear that. Am interested in what he's doing now, not what he did in the past. Check your heading of the video
@T-bird_Johnny
@T-bird_Johnny 5 жыл бұрын
Last time I checked the word "happened" was of the past tense and has nothing to do with currently taking place events. Wow......and yeah some of us are interested in his story i quite enjoyed that video other than his few mainstream hits i had no idea of his other works or that he had even released more albums.

New episode of ‘What Happened To’ is up! This time we focus on Nelly, he sold over 10 million copies of his debut album which only a few rappers have ever done. Also! This is my first ever sponsored KZfaq video, in the beginning you will see an ad on the video, not a KZfaq ad but a company I’m working with that I’m endorsing, I only work with products that I’d use myself and this product is fire. Make sure you download their app with my link in the description of the video. This is another way to support me, sponsors will help me a lot and regardless if I get hit with copyright or demonetization these sponsors will keep the content going, so make sure you check it out. Thank you all for the support!

Nelly was one of the only rappers I listened to back in the day because he didnt seem fake. Ironically my two favorite rappers are Tech N9ne and Nelly and they are both out of Missouri. For me, I would have lived out my contract, got paid and gladly faded out. Invested, got a regular job and been cool. But, some people get greedy or meet the wrong people. I dont know what Nellys deal was or what was going on in his personal life, but, he will forever be one of the best to me!
