Re: the last point; gentle parenting is NOT the issue. Gentle parenting means not beating your children and giving them some agency. It doesn't mean they don't have consequences or face no punishment - it just matches their behavior/actions versus just being beaten and told 'that will fix you'. We really need to have classes on parenting before we have children fr.
@leiiib
@leiiib 15 күн бұрын
Well that’s what she said. I’m pretty sure she knows what gentle parenting is, it’s not rocket science. she specifically stated that people don’t know the difference between gentle parenting and letting your children walk all over you. Some parents don’t want to parent period, they want to hand out tablets and have no structure, to give their children everything because they wanted all of those things as a child and have the internet raise them. She didn’t even mention anything about beating your child so idk where that came from, again she said there has to be boundaries and lines that are not crossed and to be a parent rather than a friend which only hurts them in the long run. This is one of the most disrespectful, wotless generations they have no respect for authority and can barely read or write. They can rap/sing the lyrics to every song but can’t tell the difference between they’re,their and there and equate one paragraph to a novel, and I say this as someone who teaches; these children take over 5 minutes to read one paragraph out loud and struggle to read the simplest words.

i blame social medias for establishing the popular belief that an aesthetic is a personal style : you can gravitate towards one but there’s many M A N Y ways to pull up an aesthetic, with a large variety of materials, textiles, jewelry, pieces of clothes…It’s all depending on what YOU like. Whether it’s the dark academia, the whimsigothic, the cottage girl…you just won’t wear it the same as other people bc you naturally chose the pieces you’re the most confortable with. An aesthetic is a static phase honestly, your personal style isn’t, it keeps evolving.

Thankyou babe! 🩷 yes I touch on that in the video how people are pressured and bullied to look like everyone else, a lot of people have grown up physically but not in maturity. Don’t let anyone stop you from wearing what you want to wear and looking different from the rest, some of those same people are scared of change and project that onto others because they don’t have the confidence and courage to pull off what you can. 🩷

As a woman, I feel so sorry for these girls who feel the need to make up a new aesthetic everyday, and claim each are different, even though it’s literally the same. They feel the need to show off for validation and attention. That usually shouldn’t be a bad thing, but I’ve noticed the pressure they seem to have to wanting to be the main pioneers of everything and make money off it. Yet, they couldn’t even think outside the box.

I prefer thrifting. I don't shop fast fashion anymore. Some ppl don't have access to thrift stores, or thrift stores don't have their sizes. But I have a bone to pick with influencers who are sent $500+ to spend on shopping sprees & they don't wear anything they bought. Regular ppl don't have access to $500 to spend on clothes. Buying $500+ of prison labor, child labor & labor from countries being taken advantage of by colonialism & after that, large corporations keep having access to cheap labor. My mom has a BBL. Because of her fear of fatness. I think ppl are not taking into consideration how fatness is perceived. You can't love yourself out of ppl hating you just because you are fat. Lizzo is healthy. She works out and is a vegan, but that's not enough. Because ppl still correlates skinniness with health. Even though the reason for doing so is because of the fear of Blackness. If there's ppl who doesn't know what I am talking about, pls read Fearing the Black Body. Ppl are conditioned to fear fatness & the creation of the BMI system made it worse. Because of that perception of science backing up that claim that fatness is unhealthy. The BMI system was created by an Eugenist.

@seabreeze4559 What's even weirder is that the reason why that skinny white women don't like your mom for being fat is because they viewed fatness as being a traitor to the white race. This mindset still exists even into advertising as recent as the 1970s in magazines. Ik this is hard for you to get, but it still comes from anti-Blackness.

@seabreeze4559 what's weirder is that the reason why ppl hate your mom for being fat is because they viewed her as a "traitor" to her race. This very same sentiment isn't old either. Was used in publishing even in the 1970s. Anti-Blackness has always been at the core of it. You just haven't realized it because of your yt-ness.

Tik Tok is filled with so many followers it's astounding. they will see a video go viral and will remake the video 20,000 times because they want those same views. like where is your creativity? people just want to go viral and have lost all creativity and being innovative because they want quick success. and yesssssss these people will use our slang and make it beyond corny lol. Vogue had posted a video of Ariana Grande singing at the Met Gala and captioned it "the mic was on" y'all do not talk like that! lol just like the "left no crumbs" "it's the (blank) for me". they will wearrrr something out and it never has the same flavor and sounds like they're trying to hard because most of the time they are idk what's so hard about being yourself

I'm like you I love fashion and shopping but the trends every other day is tiring, I don't care for trends and have developed my own personal style but what's annoying is the younger generation coming after us millennials trying to tell us what's "in" or "out" thinking they're creating something new while stealing the trends and style from the 90s,80s,70s etc. 😂😂 they lack originality and want to be apart of every group and have group think

I don’t mind my daughter doing her skincare, wanting perfume, and wanting her nails and toes done. She’s nine, but I’m extremely feminine and girly, so it isn’t a shock my daughter is into these things. HOWEVER, the rudeness is a problem🙄 as a parent, PARENT !! Check them for being rude ! My daughter would never !!! It’d be a cold day in hell😂😂 and a colder one in prison, because that’s where I’d land if my daughter thought she could EVER speak that way.

Good afternoon: This clearly shows you the many insecurities that exist. It's insane that some ppl would go so far to look a certain way. These women talking about the mess up on there BBL & veneer procedures need to realize that's their fault. And stop whining & crying. It's dumb, don't be placing the blame, on someone else. Wtw is with those Stanley cup 🥤 thing. The kids act like they won the lottery or something 🙄🙄..!! I'm a 90's gurl, in the early 2000's & 90's I've barely heard any stories about BBL's & Veneer surgery. It's sad the parents are okay with this. I wish some would just stick to the way they were born. It's wayyy better to be different. This is why I only use natural stuff ( honey,🍌, 🍋) etc. Natural beauty is the best beauty. Parents need to take charge & fast. Great video & have a great day..!!

Gentle parenting is teaching your child a lesson in a softer way that still gets your message across. However a lot of parents are opting to not teach ANY lesson because they feel like they can’t compete with the influence of influencers. It’s quite sad actually

When I was a tween, I thought I was hot stuff because I had a bottle of Love's Baby Soft and a Bonne Bell Lip Smacker. Sephora and Ulta didn't exist. I didn't buy my first high end cosmetic (probably a Clinique lipstick) until I was in my twenties, and I had a job to pay for it.

It seems like back in the day, although celebrities were setting trends, people weren’t dedicating their whole wardrobe to looking like it. It was usually like an outfit or two. I think these online retailers having soooo many options, it takes away from the experience of clicking through the sites and finding what you like just as you do in the mall/physical stores. Shein & fashion nova especially has so much inventory that its so much easier for people to just see a haul or outfit inspo online and go from there. I hate it. I prefer shopping in person for the full experience but because of fast fashion, these malls are closing down. The only malls surviving are the more high-end malls but paying $100 for a cute dress (thats not even timeless) is crazy!!!

You can change the outside, sure you can fix it. But theres no fixing your mind, your perspective of yourself or the way you, see you. Perhaps you can, but people often find that it was easier to fix the outside than it was to fix the inside.
