What happened to ROADKILLS "C body Roadrunner"...well here's the answer

David freiburger and Dulcich hit me up wanting to know if i wanted the leftover carcass of the c body roadrunner show car, knowing i could use metal off of it for my projects. so i hitched the trailer and off i went to snatch her up.

That was a good episode on RK Garage,like the Roadkill General Mayhem build!. What a very lucky score but!...all up I think it cost them about $7500!,like the General Mayhem,they got that B body's wheel and tyre and stance spot on for a tough and rugged muscle car!👍👍💪👊

Thar Road Runner was on E Bay a few years ago! Hard to forget that one...This was common sight back in the day,all types of powerful cars...Especially because drinking&driving wasn't looked down on as it is now!

Livin the dream!! As a Charger lover whos had 5 over the years, Im super jealous. I never paid more than $500 for any of them back in the day, and they were all complete, rust free non running big block 68's... Of course those days are long gone!!!😕 But youve inspired me to take on metal work, and just made a deal for a 68 Dart that needs floors... Im gonna get back in the old car game and have another Charger before i die!!! Awesome channel n vids...keep it up!!!!👍👍👍

he might be able to cut out some repair patches for other cars and maibe get a few trimbits out of it but theres realy not mush left to restore

Trunk pan looked good too, seems like it has lots of bits to still offer. Appears little will go to waste with you.

Hi CHRIS. I was reading some of the comments from your patron’s money request. I felt some of them were meaningful and some were nasty and hateful. What I got out of them was. 1. You are jumping all over the place. Buying cars. Rebuilding cars. But never seeming to finish the task. When you do, so much time has pasted. I think you are extremely talented and gifted. I enjoy your channel greatly. But I also would like to see the beginning to the end of a project. As a viewer i feel good with your accomplishments. Read the article in hot rod how they didnt change the vin tag from this to thier satilite. I would have. The bodys are the same but the parts they took made it a road runner.

I owned a 68 Roadrunner same color and interior. Rebuilt the bad trans and flipped it to the next happy owner.

road runner becomes a Phoenix :D cool you're saving the front clip, etc. not being a smart alec, but just so folks know, the name of the car is spelled all lower case and two words. road runner light, strong unibody with thick sheet metal..I'd hate to see what just about anything else would look like after taking the same hit this silver bird did..likely would've been ripped in half.

@@junkerup because of how bad it was bent up. I rebuilt a 69 Road Runner that was totaled .But it was damaged up front. Used a 69 Satellite wagon front sub-frame and entire front clip. Shame this one was so severely damaged.

I remember the roadkill episode when this was a run car 😳 going sideways down the road 🤣 and all the work it took to get it on the road , then there was them taking turns racing around a track 🤦‍♂️😆

I'll say it like I did to the motortrend guys..... Fix THAT damn car or give it to someone who wants to give it a shot. Torches and welders can probably get the thing fixed up. 👍

There is no fixing that damn car...it’s junk, everything from shock towers back it bent, and not just hit it with a torch bent it’s just plain fucked bent. Not one panel is savageable. You would need another complete car to weld what’s left of the front clip on the roadkill car to the new donor and at that point it’s just a rebody that’s killing another car. There is zero way to fix this car without rebodying it and at that point ur not fixing it, ur just replicating it. I fix these cars for a living....this one is dead

Men you so luck the place I live there was only ford and lucky find chevy a moparis very rare and most were bring into this place from people that lived in Detroit work for big 3 and come back and retried here most car are ether Minto close to it and that won't big buck you no kidding have drive almost to Knoxville Tennessee be dodge strat showing up in a junk yard and t the norther before you see them I Lexington ky

The price on dodges were way to high for use hillbilly in 60 were still drive model a and 50 f100 if work in mines here in coal field were try just get enough to eat let lone drive cars that sharp there were only big body car if there was dodge sold here like wagon the junk yard fild the full cut moter out frist from its side fill with little parts were frist to crusher in 60 and 70 I was to that this old old junk men I remember in late 70 early 80s I remember the junk yard I love this metallic blue 55 chevy belair on crank ask my dad to buy fix as were drive by he's the to much whight in car there make to much on car then he could pay them I couldn't been more 3 or so but still see that blue car year or to later that junk yard was buy out the yard hay state bluad a 4 lain hwy
