I had high hopes for this game, it’s such a shame that it died after the first chapter. This game had so much potential

I was quite hyped about this game at the time of its release. The concept was really cool and interesting, the execution wasn't bad but very clumsy ! It's really sad this project was abandonned... it should have been improved.

I really liked showdown bandit. I hope they come back to the game and remake it (like removing the point and click and make the controls WASD). I do remember finding the plushies on sale in stores for just $0.99 at some points

I remember being HYPED for the future this game. It’s future was robbed too soon. I remember basing my Halloween party around Showdown Bandit because I was obsessed with its concept and knew it was a demo. I knew that with feedback it would grow and change and was shocked to see it get canceled. I’d love to see the game devs be known for something OTHER than Bendy. Bendy got them started, but they don’t need to be known for just that. Should this game gets revived, I would like them to take full advantage of the concept and expand upon it. I can't believe it's already been 4 years and it's gonna be 5 once September comes since Showdown Bandit got cancelled that was a long way back, I hope Showdown Bandit comes back it had a huge potential but the problem is that it was at a top down perspective you already know what was going to happen, and it just wasn't scary sadly. If it was in first person maybe it would've at least have been more scarier. Great video man.

I’m just gonna type this. I have some ideas that could’ve fixed the gameplay even though I have ZERO idea how to code and program. But I’m gonna give it my best and show a hypothetical remake of episode 1 for Showdown Bandit. I feel like the game being much more story heavy could’ve helped with intrigue from the get-go, maybe gauge voices from the show-runners that went missing. Perhaps they were talking about something lore relevant before going missing and then cutting to the scene we’re greeted with in game with Miss Undertaker finding Showdown Bandit. I think this scene could be much darker but still giving off the hopeful eeriness before Bandit has his strings attached for the first time. I think one thing that could’ve helped if this game was made in third person but from BEHIND showdown Bandit and not from above. That way we get more of a feeling of claustrophobia and dread. I feel like also taking away the spotlight would also help immensely so we’re in the dark being from enemies and having to use our weapon when ABSOLUTELY necessary. I like to add a small upgrade system where we could make our corkgun shoot faster or more accurately if we get more parts from other places we can go to. So kinda like Dark Revival and it’s power upgrade system and whatnot. I feel like perhaps the notes we can find can still be from other residents of Showdown Valley but also be from the creators who have gone missing to slowly get information on them. Perhaps we can also get cigar hints about what happens if you break the “rules”. Yet also I feel like it should make us doubt our trust in Miss Undertaker. Our first encounter with Penny should be far more unsettling since we’ve seen stringless and hid from them up until this point. So we instantly don’t trust her but also don’t know what she knows since what she says shoes she knows more than she’s leading on. The more intense moments could be far more intense and I feel like the Reaper Bandit (I forgot his actual in game name) can be far more menacing as you’re forced to hide and get away without making too much noise. And also when the stringless appear. There’s different ways to deal with them depending on who’s after you and either you have to hide or fight is up to you. I believe the spotlight should be saved for the ending of episode 1, that way the sudden spotlight shows not only the “Audience” but also how tiny Bandit is in comparison to them. Anyway, that’s all I can write. It’s 12 am as I’m trying this soooo- yeah. Enjoy this hypothetical train of ideas. Edit: Hope you see this @it’s lightning

Ya think its ok if someone revived the fandom of it? Like someone spreading the info about the game and it rises? But we wait for it or we dont get it, we just wait to see.

I'm pretty sure there was much more content that we didn't see, I mean, other designers and developers definitely had more concepts of characters, weapons and etc. It's really sad that we may never see it.

man I miss this game it may not have been as scary but i made up for that by still being a insanely cool concept i loved the way some of the enemies were designed, especially the faceless bandit i hope they come back to it at some point and rework it

I’ve seen on TV Tropes for Showdown Bandit that fans are working on reviving the game, so maybe Showdown Bandit could see new light. And honestly, they could recreate Chapter 1 to what it was originally planned and add the unused enemies in future chapters. That is if the game does get revived again. And honestly, I think a new control scheme would probably help the game.

I have all three plush's and they still have the tags got them at Walmart *obviously* a long time ago they were on clearance but I never got any of the figures or anything else but I'm happy to just have the plush's.

To be honest I was ready to make videos about Episode 1 but as soon as I saw the game got taken down, I revoked that plan because I knew the video wouldn't get a lot of videos to a game that got removed. Also after all that excitement back in 2019 for Episode 2 was really shameful especially when I found out why this game doesn't exist anymore.
