the people that say things like “well why didn’t he come forward” have no clue what something like this feels like. there are so many people in this world who don’t come forward about this stuff because it’s traumatizing and sometimes forgetting it happened is easier than realizing you’re a victim, especially when the person who does it was someone you cared for.

As someone who continued to date someone who had SA’d me, and continuing to forgive him over and over, it’s not easy to leave. You convince yourself that they’ll stop, that they care about you, etc. If you say “why did he keep hanging out with her then” you’ve never been put in the situation where someone who’s supposed to care about you is proving otherwise, and then telling you they’re sorry. Nothing is black and white, and forgiveness always gets in the way of keeping good people safe.

There's a difference between being flirty and touchy etc when you're both conscious and agreeing. When someone is unconscious and unable to give consent that is assault period regardless of knowing each other. She has no moral footing or valid excuses. I think this whole thing should have been taken care of offline, legal action should have been enforced and none of them owed “us” an explanation as to what happened, why it happened. They should have just said they fell off and that’s it. It should have been between the victim and the aggressor in court. The stuff he says happened tells me she did love him but to the point of obsession and it got worse when he didn’t reciprocate her feelings. It makes her look like someone who can’t understand boundaries because he says he directly told her many many times. A lot of friends are touchy feely but both parties consent and respect the boundaries both have set.

The whole point Sienna argues is "I was being manipulated into a relationship, everything was so unclear. I was being taken advantage of for views." SO lets say Sienna was right. She was being used for views, the interviewer at the beginning says this is COMMON tiktok behavior, young teens flirting for the "will they or won't they" drama. This is painful and its heartbreak I'm sure, almost everyone you know can relate to being used at one point or another. However, being used emotionally is not how you justify sexually assaulting someone. Because there is never justification. In Jack's video he said he felt like he "owed" her. Maybe that's why it went on for so long. After all, Sienna got him a role in the Hype House show, and it might've seemed like if she kept giving him job opportunities where they were required to fake being a couple for views, it might become real. They both had something to gain from the fake relationship but they were lying to each other and hurting each other. But this is quid pro quo. Workplace sexual assault. A toxic relationship, especially when youre young and under public scrutiny isn't easy, but once again, sexual assault is never ok. No matter how much someone has hurt you, used you, etc., touching someone while they're passed out is clearly assault. She could easily just acknowledge her behavior, say it was a mistake and move on. Just like Jack said he was doing, learning and moving on. The thing that really makes her look bad is trying to shoulder some of the blame and making him look bad for not defining a relationship, when in reality, it doesn't matter if they were total strangers or if they'd be secretly dating for YEARS, when someone says NO, it means NO.
