Counterpoint - what some "doctor" tells you is normal may actually not be and you should always be sure you are completely ready to have your personality and mental ability changed before taking mind altering medication to bring you in line with what said "doctor" told you is normal. I'm miserable most of the time. Constant anxiety. Consistent depression. Still not willing to give up my mental acuity to be dependent on some magic pill that will supposedly make me feel good.

Warren Buffet said something along the lines of: Imagine you get a car for free! But there is a catch... it's the only car you'll get in your life. So you are going to take the best care of it, because you're only going to get this one. Everybody gets a car like this, and this car is your body and your mind.

You are the best car presenter and entertainer on KZfaq hands down. Combined that with your phenomenal editing skills, I feel big things coming your way. Even though we have a different taste in cars I enjoy watching all of your videos and find myself rewatching them numerous times. If there's one thing I'd suggest, maybe get a more mainstream car project to attract wider audience. Cheers from Germany!

Nice to hear, but I got something to say as well. I learned medication makes me worse when I broke my ankle a couple years ago. While the Advil I took for the pain didn't adversely affect me, the antidepressants I was taking at the time recked havoc on me when combined with the Advil. I had a nervous breakdown and ended up on suicide watch. Learning that saved my life and I've been doing fine without meds ever since. So my tip to anyone reading this is if you're depressed or anxious, are taking medication and feel like it's either not doing anything or people tell you you're acting different on it, get off it ASAP, because it will likely harm you more than it will help you.

Our Work-Pit was a death-trap, because it was in the center of the floor. We built a "plank floor" to make the surfaces level. Using 4x6 planking to support farm equipment and big-rigs. It will work for you too. Bolt some angle iron around the pit and just lay the planks down. That bus looks like the tires wouldn't even set on the planking. I could be wrong (as usual) I am sorry for your short comings. There is nothing more painful, than depression. I spent 30 years in counselling. Doc called me "job security". Hard work or at-least important work and the correct meds. are essential. Very happy to hear about your work.

Great to see you're back and happy! I had my bird fly out the door 4 months ago while I was trying to change the seed in the cage, ever since then I've been having issues of being completely fine, and then suddenly turing on a hairpin to upset, enraged, or miserable. But I found my fix also, and it turns out to be restoring antiques! There is just something about restoring and then using things from the past that just makes me happy (probably since I am an old soul). I'm just getting ready to pick up an antique push-mower today that I had a friend sandblast for me, and the same day you put out a new video, how excellent!

Also to add to this, I worked for a mental health charity for a couple of years as a support worker. It was hugely eye-opening and revelatory and did me the World of good helping others. Thank you for being transparent with your viewers about the state of the channel and what the goings-on are. I'm glad you're feeling better. For your larger, uninsulated garage, I'd suggest a radiant tube heater, running on natural gas. It would help out immensely in the winter and it wouldn't require the garage to be insulated because it doesn't use the air to heat the environment. One last thing: I LOVE the editing tricks you're doing with the whiteboard. Those are always fun to watch.

Thank you for being so open about what you're going through. I've suffered from crippling anxiety, myself, as have a couple friends. It's definitely true that we all went through a period, of some number of years for me at least, where things were -- in retrospect -- already bad enough to need treatment, but we didn't know it! Even when we did know something was wrong, none of us could self-identify it right away, in large part because so few people talk about these things! We all thought we had other things wrong with us (heart trouble, lung trouble, dietary issues, anything but a mental issue!), and one of my friends had an incompetent doctor who couldn't identify her problem even with a whole host of severe anxiety disorder symptoms and nearly put her through some pretty painful -- and unnecessary! -- surgical tests, before she saw another doctor and got the help she needed. The brain is just one organ in our amazing bodies, and it needs care to stay healthy, too! We all need to be open and free of shame about mental health, so nobody feels like they are the Only Person in the World Suffering from This. Once I opened up with people about what I was going through, I found others admitting that they had dealt with that or something else that I never knew about, because they hid it behind a mask of normalcy, not wanting to talk about it. People need to know that mental health issues are all much more common than it probably seems and that there's no shame in seeking help! You wouldn't try to "get over it" or "walk it off" if your leg got cut halfway off in an industrial accident, and nobody should be pressured -- or even FEEL pressured -- to do so for mental issues either.

Massive respect my man. I am on Citalopram myself (an SSRI - which I'm assuming is what you're on! ;) ) and yep - it's a lifechanger. I actually did a sponsored swim across a lake last month (2.6 miles) in aid of a couple of local mental health charities here in Ireland, and on the 30th September, I embark on a near 190 mile solo kayak/canoe down the longest river on the Irish and British Isles (The River Shannon - though my FB page, etc., is called 'theshannon300', as it is 300 kilometres!). Again, raising money for a whole heap of charities, because........ well, it seems to be doing my head good! 😉 Anyway, just wanted to say massive respect to you - there are many, many, MANY of us out there....... we just need little incentives like yourself to find the strength to come out and seek help for it. @@GarryMcGovern Comparing neuroleptics to vaccines just shows how indoctrinated you are, as typical in the U.S.A., where big pharma can advertise directly to the consumer. Studies that have compared neuroleptics to active placebos have shown the neuroleptics provide no benefit compared to the active placebo in the treatment of symptoms of the relative mental issue. In addition, the use of these drugs has proven to lead to worse long term outcomes as compared to non medicated patients, with worse functioning, more re-hospitalizations and more suicidal and homicidal behavior. The idea that mental disorders are cause by chemical imbalances in the brain is a fabrication by American psychiatrists desperate to keep receiving the kickbacks they get from corporations like Eli Lilly. They put people on neuroleptics, saw them get docile like after a lobotomy, found out the medications clamp down on neurotransmitter function, and concluded mental illness is caused by neurotransmitter disfunction. This is terrible science, but whenever you swallow one of these pills, that's what you're counting on. By the way, your brain has completely adapted to the extra serotonin pooling in the synaptic clefts by throwing the brakes on he serotonin household. Your brain is injured like that of a crack addict, and you'll feel it just the same should you ever quit.

Thanks also for sharing your health update. I've followed another talented You-Tube contributor: Ever Ride ADV. He's shared his challenges, the stigma attached to the both the issue and to seeking help, and some of the progress made. Very brave. This issue affects many and few are willing to talk about it or recognize and tackle the issue. It seems that creative types, those leaning towards OCD or perfection in their craft and those with a pension for "fixing it themselves" may be more reluctant to seek or accept help for what we see as our "version of normal." A sincere thanks for your post.

And because of this video, I am going to call my GP right now and get an appointment with her and discuss my subtle - but real - mental issues. Thank you. Note - just called my GP's office, I see her on Thursday morning. So your video got to someone. Update - just came back from my GP and she was VERY helpful and gave me a prescription to try and to check back in 6 weeks.

Sad to hear you were having some anxiety, but glad to hear that you had support from friends and family (which can make ALL the difference) as well as getting some medication to help you cope.

Man... Welcome back. It's touching that you are so transparent with your own issues, and absolutely amazing you are willing to put yourself out there like that, just in case you can give someone that last push they need to get help.

Wow, when i used to take medication nothing got any better so i had to learn to be somewhat happy or atleast functioning without them. Just shows that no one's body is the same and everyone has to go through their own experiences. Im glad things worked out so great for you!

Hey, great to see you back and really looking forward to a relaunch of your projects, including the bus. I absolutely share your wimpyness regarding working conditions, temperature etc, so I fully appreciate that you'll put that on hold until the weather is back to moderate. I'll wait patiently for work on the bus to continue, but I _will_ wait ;)

I am thrilled to hear your family news and bless your heart for sharing your experience. I too, am almost happy to have woken up each morning now that I have chemical assistance. Saw a lovely joke online a couple of days ago. Before you ask someone why they are depressed you should walk a mile in their shoes. Then, at least when they tell you, you will be a mile away ..... and and you will have their shoes! Made me chuckle😄

I only discovered you a few weeks back in your other channel and you are certainly among the most entertaining people on the tube. You have that charm and charisma that draws an audience. And your editing chops are fabulous. I came to this channel just because I already binged through your other channel.... so now I'm depressed. . . and more cowbell ain't doing it. Keep it up, I'll be here!
