yes except John....he was at the cross with Jesus. he did not abandon him at the crucifixion.

That is just "church tradition". You have no historical evidence to support those claims except the story of James from Josephus, yet we do not know what infraction he was killed for.

Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. How could Paul, who wrote 2/3 of the NT write about events that happened after his death?

Not sure what you were expecting. All he said was that many disciples gave there lives. He didn't say Apostles. This is bc he knows, as you astutely pointed out, we don't know with certainty what became of any of the original 12. (actually not true. We know what happened to Judas) And Paul, though not one of the original 12, was executed in Rome. James, Jesus' brother, though an unbeliever before the cross, believed and became the leader of the Jerusalem church after the ressurection, was killed by Herod in the book of Acts . But nothing the man said in the video was inaccurate. Take care

@@shredhed572 That's some nice rationalization. Ask anyone who "The Disciples of Jesus" are - that term is synonymous with the 12. The speaker even makes a distinction between Jesus speaking to his Disciples, i.e. the 12, and the others in the crowd following him. If the speaker is parsing a distinction between the 12 and other disciples, then he's doing it in a way to lead his viewers to assume he's talking about the 12; pretty deceptive stuff.
