There are few real estate projects that embody the downturn of the Great Recession and the events of 2020 than the Fontainebleau Las Vegas. Announced in 2007, the Recession flipped the project upside down developer Jeffrey Sofer of Turnberry Associates had no choice but to file bankruptcy after being underwater on their Miami Fontainebleau renovation as well, and the site became abandoned. The site was previously occupied by El Rancho and the Thunderbird. The grand opening was attended by counteless celebrities and had Justin Timberlake as the nights entertainment.

I visited FB five times and stayed twice. They're getting busier and lot of great restaurants and amenities compared to the counterpart casinos. Most importantly food price is way cheaper better and tastier. The seating area by the food courts is great which you won't see any other casinos on the strip.

I was in Las Vegas in the summer of 2023. I'm heading back next year, I can't wait to visit this casino. It's been under construction since I was a kid!

Remember walkin past the abandoned El Rancho when stayin at Sahara 90's... Sahara was not in much better condition than El Rancho, but hey who cared in them days Vegas had a soul!

Great video! Also, as of March 9, 2024 LIV Beach club has opened, but so far has faced 2 Saturday cancellations, related to weather. Hope it does alright this summer season.

Just recently stayed at FB and was very impressed with the resort as a whole. Will be going back again in August. It's much quieter than mid or south strip properties and I think that may end up being the appeal for some visitors.

Was just there last week and it was absolutely packed. It’s literally next door to Las Vegas Convention Center which will bring them lots of business. They also have convention space of their own. Lots of possibility here.

In the next 10-15 years it won't the ghetto side anymore, honestly it hasn't been. You now have them wynn and encore (I know it just a Glorified, add-on tower) Resorts world Sahara I know circus circus and stratosphere is still there, but it won't be for long.
