Although this was very well done, it really seems like two separate videos. I particularly like the maps and clarifications of the territories, as well as the use of real photos when possible.

Mohawk brings crazy memories to me. During spirit week at my son"s school they had crazy hair day. There were no guidelines given. He was in grade school and chose a Mohawk hair cut, and his dad helped him with tjhe desired hair cut. It was no big deal, he liked his hair buzzed off, and we were like next day we will just buzz off that line on top. Then admin said this is not acceptable, and we sad too bad, we will support him wearing this hair cut today, and they backed off. Funny how videos like this bring back memories from 20 years ago.

It is important to free the host/narrator to be a human being in the presentation. This robotic, uninspured delivery seems uncomfortable for the narrator. It is a good series but the director is likely to blame for the starchy delivery.

Joseph Brant had a huge victory at the Battle of Warnerville where his warriors routed roughly 250 Americans, killing all of them. He also made sure that not all of the American women during the Battle of Cherry Valley were not killed. He led another famous raid through the Schoharie Valley, USA's breadbasket, destroying a fort and supplies. The battles and skirmishes fought in the wilderness of upstate NY were brutal, often in hand to hand combat.

I am an Iroquois woman.A member the Mohawk Nation. I'm of Turtle Clan. The inaccurate presentation in this documentary of my people's involvement in the war is degrading and totally uninformed. If you represent a culture at least include them in the research. The Iroquois Nation developed their own government and legal system to maintain peace among our tribes. The American colonists adapted and used parts of our legal system to incorporate into their own. We were a civilized and peaceful Nation that resided on our territory for 10,000 years. It was the bloodthirsty settlers out of greed and ignorance that consistently ambushed our villages slaughtering men women and children leaving no one alive and burning our homes and our fields of crops. We chose to train the French military in the Warfare they needed to stop the American in English from destroying our world. We were not Savages although we had a history of being the most absolute Fierce and brave warriors in those territories. Do your research include the indigenous people that still live there in your one-sided documentary.

This presenter is an automaton that would look more lifelike by blinking his eyes ! ...........and who is that goofy guy with the even goofier "musket" they used as a Mohawk ? The producers did little or no research into weapons of the periods depicted. ( Notice the lever action rifle being used in the early 1700's !!! ) To me that makes everything else presented suspect. Poor research and no attention to detail here.

Yay, finally! Love hearing about Native American and being Mohawk Indian I'm proud. Wait, they sided against the Wampanoag people? Huh, that seems sketchy, backstabbing and overall shitty of the Mohawks, they seemed pretty ass kissing to the foreign invaders stealing everything of theirs, the Wampanoags wouldn’t have done that to them (so yeah, Where I live there are tons of Wampanoags, I have a ton of friends in that tribe so I’m biased lol)

Hi Native American here. And? That happens with all war and territory. WE know this. But NOTHING is taught about Native Americans in A LOT of schools. Like at all. Nothing of our culture, nothing of our history. Half the time we aren't even THOUGHT of in the curriculum. In MY years of being in school from the 90s on. I was taught seriously nothing about my people. Only at home and within my community. Hell the only time we learned about blac people was black history month. Other than that it was pure white history and their achievements.

We have a number of odd artifacts in the region that defy the known history of this country. In Lake Ontario, near Kingston, The Museum of History acquired 7 Aboriginal pottery vessels from a time period before any contact with Europeans. The rare, intact pottery jars were found by sport divers in the St. Lawrence River and with carbon dating, it was revealed they were made 2,000 years ago. Our history has been misinterpreted for over a century to fit a false narrative about us.
