With today's technology, imagine what they could do. Perhaps Viva Pinata but you collect Pinatas around the world in different biomes you unlock, kinda like Bug Snax but more focus on gardening and building around on your main area. After you collect enough on a new biome, you unlock new pinatas and some of the old and new pinatas will sometimes appear walking in your garden through a built landmass bridge.

This game was frickin addicting like please we need a remaster of this game, the mechanics where so fun as a kid and I love all the quirky characters and it’s clear how much love that went into this making the game, this gameplay is honestly something modern farm sims are missing (honestly I didn’t even know the tv show existed I just saw the box art in the game store and thought it looked hella hype)

As a longtime VP player, one of the other things I've always loved about the franchise that I don't see many people talk about is the character drama and lore. Dastardos secretly being Leafos' brother, (Why is that never mentioned by anyone in-universe???) Costalot and Leafos being sassy ICONS, Miss Petula constantly being disgruntled about having to work at her shop and not giving a shit, Bart and Fannie having a thing for each other, Doc being an absolute disaster, and Seedos just being... Seedos. Every character, journal entry, and bit of gossip really makes the world feel rich and vibrant. As a kid, I often wished I could interact more with the characters, and journey into town to help them resolve plotlines. :) Besides that, the aesthetics of the game are some of my personal favorite with the vibrant masks, rich Incan imagery, and calming soundtrack. (which I am PISSED is not on Spotify, by the way)

I LOVED viva piñata back as a kid. It was fun how you could feed them random shit to change their colors, not sure if that was in both games

Theres a REALLY high quality fangame being made called Return to Paradise that is so faithful to the original games. I highly recommend checking it out

I absolutely love Viva Pinata. It's one of my favourite games. I was playing it as a child and I still do from time to time on my Xbox 360. I always wondered why such a lovely game was completely forgotten and all of it's potential has gone to waste. Personally I think that it could have been as popular as Animal Crossing if only the people responsible cared enough to continue it.

Finally a youtuber who covers a series in less than 5 minutes and not just 50 minutes like we keep on getting all the time. In my mid teens to early adult years I was really into Viva Pinata series ALL OF IT! I doubt I'll ever like this series as I used to personally especially the TV show (yes I liked that... I should be crucified for that).

I loved the music of this game the peace Id feel listening to the night time music as I watched plants slowly grow or a pinata scurrying around is deeply ingrained in my psyche

The fact this came out 8 days ago, and I restarted the game a few days before that is ... interesting. 🤔 And I'll admit, I'm one of the freaks who likes the show. It still makes me laugh with how damn goofy it is.

Damn this is a trip down memory lane, I remmeber how addicted as a kid I was to the first one and then finding out the second one was coming out with that trailer of showing off camels etc. I was addicted to taking turns breeding different animals and getting the rarest variants. Then i'd make an online garden and sell them to other people. The nostalgia watching any of these vids is crazy. So sad it's been abandoned, pray for the day they make another.

I STILL actively play viva pinata to this day (Xbox version) About to play it as I write this and have played it since I was 4. I’m absolutely in love with this game and it’s rather sad to see SO MANY GLITCHES that I have to WORK AROUND to play it. Even still I will never give it up. It always has a place in my heart.

I adore this game, Im getting an xbox series just to play the enhanced version on Rare Replay. It was my childhood and I have fond memories of it. Im glad to see you're video getting more views, we need more people to know of this game. If they make a sequel they could easily top it by adding things like weather changes and seasons, making some Piñatas much more easier to get in Summer but rare in Winter, maybe adding enviromental disasters like storms and tornados (which can also atract rare Piñatas) and so on.

Viva Piñata was my first Xbox game and I played the shit out of it as a kid! I loved it to pieces. Even my dad ended up addicted to breeding and collecting the little piñata. I’m so sad that they didn’t do more games for it.

I know that I’m late to the video but I wanted to say as well all the hours I spent playing viva piñata and the amazing time I had. Due to loving dinosaurs as well, after I saw a sketch of a velociraptor in piñata form when I was a kid, I have always dreamed of a game that would probably never come to fruition. Such an amazing game, even now Ill hook up the Xbox just to play. Because of the unique style the graphics still hold up wonderfully. I know a new game will likely never come, but it is nice to imagine what crazy mechanics and designs they could put into a game built for newer consoles. A months ago i was taken aback when I turned on the radio and the station was doing a tribute to winter themed video game music. I was nearly in tears as VP's "Winter Shinies" played. From the animations to the music, Viva Pinata was such an incredible game, Im sad that it doesn't didn't get very popular, but still thankful that it was such a fun part of my childhood!

First one I played was pocket paradise. A couple years back I got an xbox and saw Trouble in Paradise was in the library. I love it, definitely has a lot more meat to it compared to the DS version.

Viva Pinata 1 was one of the first 360 games I experienced when I was playing it with my best friend on his xbox before I even owned a 360. I wasn't able to buy a 360 until High school a year before the xbox One released. I bought viva pinata from gamestop got a weird look for the clerk and went home to play it. After playing it for a couple hours my friend from high school (different person from the friend from earlier as he moved two states away a year after I met him) called me "gay" for playing it. So whenever I wanted to play that game I always put myself to Offline and played for a little bit but eventually I stopped playing it entirely. What changed was when the Rare Replay released and I was able to play it again as a college student but a part of me always felt some sort of shame in playing it so Rare Replay was abandoned. Yet MORE time passed and I graduated from my university with a Masters Degree and I finally reinstalled Rare Replay with the plan to get all achievements. I plan on 100% 1 arcade game for 1 3d game. I 100% jetpac first completing all milestones and all snapshots as well as any achievement related to it. Then I turned my eyes to Viva Pinata a game I was always ashamed to play but this time I didnt care. I am currently sick with Bronchitis right now so I have been isolating myself and playing Viva Pinata non stop. I tamed a Dragonache for the first time, I encountered professor pestor who made my life hell for a time, I tamed every sour pinata and I am currently 8 achievements away from 100% the game essentially earning the xbox equivalent of the platinum. It has been an enjoyable experience and I am really sad I let the judgement of others get in the way of enjoying this game. I wish they would make another viva pinata...

there's a group of people that have been working on a fangame (that abides by the Terms and conditions laid out by Microsoft) for a few years now called "Return to Paradise". They Have a lot planned including around 300 new pinatas with a new jungle biome to trap species in along with a second garden you can create in the ocean with a lot of new aquatic species. Both the land and ocean garden's max size is going to be iirc 2.5X the size of the old game's max garden space to accompany all of the new possibilities. New plants and decorations. A brand new story. A game made by fans for fans. Despite seeming like a lot of content, they plan on releasing the game with only a fraction of what's planned and slowly releasing more content over time.

I lived this game so much on the DS! Played it nonstop until i got all achievements and 100%. Took ages to get the 2 Yetis so i could breed them lol Loved the Unicorn, Wolf and Dragon Bruh u just realised... i was 9 years old when i played it... i am 24 now😭😭 i feel so old now lmao😂

Yeah this game ate my hours, I served myself up on a plate for the first, and then when TIP came out, it was over, solidifying it as one of my all-time favourite games. Nothing will ever bring me joy like tending to my paper mache friends, and nothing will bring me greater fear than Dastaros' slow, ethereal float over to claim one of my friends for the candied afterlife.

I loved this game as a kid. I used to play it all the time with my brother. Trouble in Paradise even added multi-player which was great if you had siblings. I never have seen the TV show but I couldn't stop laughing when I saw that clip. My brother and I used to watch the stranger danger video in the game as kids a ton because we thought it was a fun short film. Rare is actually making a viva pinata trouble in paradise deluxe for the Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation. It's supposed to be released in 2025.

I played a surprising amount of Viva Piñata as a middle school boy, looooool. It was seriously good. Still praying for another.

Just replayed the first part, the only part I played as a child back then together with party animals and what should I say. The current version you can find for download is just as amazing as it was in my memory the game even today on a 4k screen looks really good. If you wanna go all in start from the first game its really worth it.

Few months or weeks ago…I tried to play this game again a few times……i just couldn’t continue…..I did manage to get some piñata’s and level up a little bit…..but I just couldn’t continue……..I’m guessing that’s the result of growing up.

I adore the Viva Pinata games, especially TiP. Such a shame that it died, and YES!!! I do think the show was the reason nobody liked it. Even as a kid I thought the show was stupid compared to the games. Just imagine if they were popular and became a big franchise.. 😮‍💨

Viva pinata is amazing. I love it due to how Pokemon-like it is, and just how much effort and love was put into the games. The Viva Piniata franchise is like the spore franchise, one abandoned because of low sales (though with Spore it was also because EA rushed Maxis to make the female which resulted in a worse product).
