I had my second in the car on the interstate after being released from the hospital and hour before. I was told it was going to be at least 8-10 hours. My husband kept driving while I delivered and we just kept driving because we were almost to the hospital. Much faster than if we waited for anyone. My only question to my husband was” is the cord wrapped around her neck?” Before I pulled her up. And it wasn’t so I pulled her up and put her on my chest and started stimulating her and she eventually cried. We were fortunate then after a few complications we were both completely fine. And no, it didn’t really save me much because they brought me in through the emergency room and charged me $200 just for that alone.

I had accidentally had my VBAC baby at home in March this year, it was absolutely wild but also the best thing ever! The paramedics walked in a few minutes after he was born to take us to hospital. He needed to go to NICU for 2 days because he came out so fast. Thankfully I live in Australia so they whole thing cost me nothing expect my husbands hospital carpark fee.

My middle granddaughter was born super fast, after 2 pushes, she had a lot of fluid in her lungs but said thats totally normal. My daughter went from a 4 to a 10 in 20 minutes!

Completely insane... It's not all awesome in the healthcare system we have here in Germany (I work in healthcare as well) but at least I do not have to worry about the cost if I need to call an ambulance or the fee if you need an emergent c-section or whatever what...

I'm a man and I'm very cheap. I rather have a U-Haul in the hospital parking lot. Do the delivery there and if there's any complications hospitals right over there. My grandmother had 12 brothers and sisters. All were delivered at home.

Lol 🤣 that is going too far. I am having a home birth and it will be much cheaper than a hospital birth. But I am paying for a midwife to come to my actual house

I’m a woman and I have birthed 4 children, 3 at home one in hospital, and I promise women are not going to be comfortable birthing in I hauls 😂😂. Your best bet would be to do the home birth. Birth is natural and usually goes well but also there can be complications. Each of my births I needed some help with hemorrhage and shoulder dystocia. Either get educated and do unassisted or homebirth with a midwife or get insurance and use the hospital.
