I know of *NO* woman born between 1950 and 1985 who respects her husband or any other man. Including in the church. Feminism tells them to become strong, you can do everything, the most important thing is that you feel good about yourself, and all men are terrible monsters who only want to control you. I have never met any exceptions. I long for the day when women draw near to the Lord in devotion to Him, be filled with His love, and show that love to their husbands.

To avoid conflict I would stay longer at work and catch up on projects or exercise longer at the gym. The home is supposed to be a sanctuary and refuge from the world where we can relax and regroup and feel loved. When a man is badgered by his spouse who has no intent on solving a disagreement then he begins to ponder ways to achieve a peaceful home with his spouse until he realizes that they idea might not ever become a reality

This is true, it’s like my life completely especially how my wife constantly disrespects me and denies me fatherhood, the younger, prettier and nicer woman at work recognizes it and has been advancing on me, telling me to leave her and be with her. I thought she was asking me to cheat and I rejected her and she made clear she didn’t want to be with me while I was in a relationship. It all makes me feel terrible... my wife makes me feel terrible about myself and this woman at work makes me feel fantastic and hopeful. I’m mentally cheating on my wife, I get low and think about the offer from someone who at least says they want to be with me and that I’m special then I feel bad for thinking and sometimes dreaming of the woman at work.

It goes both ways , are you loving your wife by thinking of another woman? And if you think about it that other woman is a snake in disguise, what kind of a woman flirts with a married man? She is needy and will be way worse than the wife you have. Give your wife your attention, your flirty lines, your thoughts. Please the woman you have . Do for her the things you are with holding because you don’t think she deserves it. See her as valuable. What you put your effort into will grow, what you ignore and dismiss and run from will fester and eventually die. Bring life back to your wife and in do doing into your own life. If your wife is not asking you to sin, why not please her? Hugs and best wishes, dear brother.

Amen. Amen. the realization is everything. God wanted to show you this. Gods ways are perfect and he is ultimate intelligence. Surely his ways are good for us. God is our Father, he isn't going to give us a stone, in place of bread but his teaching are for our good and gives us life. Not a stone that is useless to us. God is not the author of confusion but of peace. Luke 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. 10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?

Good thing Christ does not do that to us when we sin against him, a marriage is a reflection of Christ t and the Church. The cause of all problems on both ends is disobedience to God words. Those who are saved and have come to the knowledge of the truth, will want to make an effort to do the what the "word" of God says. All stems from disobeying God, and all can be solved by obeying God.

Everyone reaps what they sow. If the woman is not doing correctly then she needs to hear the word of God, what God has commanded of her. If she rejects the word of God completely, then you shouldve listen to God command to " Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers" from the beginning. 2 choices. You can either pray for and try find a good Christian woman who truly wants to do the word of God, or you must work to bring your wife to the knowledge of the truth of the Lord God.,and somtimes she will not listen to you, bevcause she knows you. No prophet has honor in his own hometown, So maybe invite her to a good church on sundays or wensdays so she can hear the word of God from others and come to the knowledge of the truth.

Also If two unbelievers are yoked together its going to fail, because no house divided against itself shall stand! This is the word of God. Either both parties must get saved and put God first and come under the word of God the knowledge of the truth and want to obey God or that house is falling. Gods word cannot be broken.

Lord help me. I truly want to respect and honor my husband and at times I do really well. But it seems I always fall back to bad habits and carnal ways. I know we all will struggle on this side of heaven but I pray the Lord will truly bring consistency in the way I treat my husband. :)

Disagree, some men such as my dad and my husband are workaholics. They feel that providing well for their family is how they show love. And to blow off steam and cope with stress they play golf and in my husbands case he likes to train for triathlons. I therefore have learned to appreciate their way of showing love and allow them to enjoy their down time with out nagging. At least not too much. ☺️

Men and women have two very different concepts of love and respect. Sadly, too many people have a concept of love cut from whole cloth to sell perfume and movie tickets, a Hollywood fantasy, an advertising gimmick. For a husband respect is number one. If you want the man you fell in love with show him he's appreciated, counted on and respected and he will start paying attention to what you want and give it to you. Marriages only work when both parties put the other person first and someone has to innitate. Men can go first, and my interpretation of the bible would seem to say we should; but if that isn't reciprocated then any self respecting man will slam that door in your face and good luck getting back open. And men if you want respect from anyone, you earn it by being respectable and respectful. Reject passivity, take initiative, take action and accept the consequences. Be responsible, honorable and then you can demand a higher reward.

Husbands and wives are a reflection of Christ and the church. Now we know that God moves first " We love him, because he first loved us".... But i also want you to notice that both Peter and Paul, when they address in their scriptures about marriage they ALWAYS start out with Wives first. This is interesting, because with the husbands being the "head" of the wife, you would think they would address the husbands first, but they do not.

You can literally change a man for the better with just words. Get his self-esteem up and he'll start acting better. There's only so much one person can do. I've seen too many people in toxic relationships tearing eachother down. Where as all you need to say is 'You can do better, I believe in you. Why argue? Why not try and please her? If it is important to her, why not? In your pleasing her I bet she will feel guilty of the the areas she has fallen short and try to please you too. Try it. For at least one week ask for nothing in return. And ....Write down all the things she has asked if you over the years. This might take some time. Now cross out the things that are illegal or truly immoral or unethical. Do what is left. Don’t tell her why...except that if she asks. Then you may tell her because you love her and want to make more of an effort. Oh and start saying thank you every time she does something for you. See what happens and report back if you can. I challenge my self to the same for my husband and will be quiet when he does something I perceive is a gaff. Humility, kindness and love. I want to be and show more of this. The truth is most men who get married in the first place in fact have that kind of love for their wives. However, every man has a breaking point when they are exposed to unfair and horrible treatment by the women they love. The answer is that sometimes the wife needs to be saved, and come to the knowledge of the truth. Sometimes the husband needs to be saved, the answer is obedience to the word of God, A saved wife is going to place importance on Gods word and seek to do it. Like wise a husband, thus comes order.

Well The husband is the representive of Christ in the marriage. He is long suffering, with us, patient, and he dwelled with us according to knowledge and definitely honors us as the much weaker vessels. His yoke is easy, and his burden is light, He does not put on us more than we can bare. He loved us and suffered and gave his life for us so that we might be with him.. Just something to consider.
