lol, It's interesting that they keep the cutscene triggers active regardless of which player you are using. The whole nightmare transformation Claire goes thru when a Leon cutscene is triggered is a result of her bones (body and face) are forcefully being made to obey the animation data that was meant for leon's skeleton - hence her face and body being pulled into that grotesque shape. but as soon as the cutscene ends, her body gets restored to its default player setup. That thing with the invisible texture is due to backfaces (sides of a geometry not intended to face a camera) of the object not being rendered, this is a norm in 3D rendering in general. Same principle as you being able to see outside the croc when you walked into it while it's in T- pose
